I knew a guy who back in the day was a midnight disk jockey when radio stations actually played records.
He called those songs taking a dump songs.
The long songs meant you could sit on the can, have a beer, or just take a long break.
His favorites were Starship Troopers by Yes and Kashmir by Led Zeppelin. Both were 9 minutes plus.
