These days it’s not your typical latte-sipping millennials who are going woke. Taking a stroll around America’s largest metro areas will have one believe social justice is the latest fad that’s sweeping across corporate boardrooms. Much has been written about woke capital—businesses’ recent pivot to signal their affinity for leftist movements—and what it means for society at large. Suffice it to say that since last year, this trend has accelerated at breakneck speeds.
Scratching one’s head in utter confusion should be a natural response to corporate America’s virtue signaling. One has to wonder why big business, which has traditionally been perceived as a reactionary institution aligned with the political right, would make common cause with radicals on the cultural left. Counterintuitive as it may seem, corporations and prominent business moguls have many incentives to jump on the virtue-signaling bandwagon.

This article is incorrect.
The move leftward is a direct result of university indoctrination.
These students have to get hired somewhere. They don’t stay students forever, and they don’t just snap out of it just because they leave campus.

I believe education has much to do with the elite’s move to the Left. Academia has been moving Left since the late nineteenth century. This trend accelerated to warp speed beginning in the 1960’s and by the 2020’a has turned most colleges into seminaries for social justice warriors. Today’s elite, most of whom are college-educated, have been steeped in this ideology.
Partially correct.
However IMHO the main reason that the big business moguls have moved left is that they figured out that they can get more money with less effort by getting the politicians to steal money from the taxpayers and give it to them, rather than having to compete in the marketplace of ideas, to innovate, to produce goods and services that people actually want.
I call it Crony Crapitalism.

Highly intellectual piece, so as a Trump supporter, most of it goes over my head. But I do think it’s as simple as the above, which is also what Rush has said - which is that these people are scared to death of the mobs, so they’re trying to side with the mobs (or at least perceived that way), and ALL mobs today (and in recent history) are on the Left.
Of course when they FINALLY do find out who they’re siding with, it’s often too late, as they learned in Cambodia, for example.
