Outgoing Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Sunday blasted President Biden’s policy approach to Iran in a “scorched earth” final address to the parliament — comparing the US return to the Iran nuclear deal to President Franklin Roosevelt declining to bomb the train tracks to Auschwitz when he had the opportunity.
In his last Knesset address as prime minister, a defiant Netanyahu spoke for more than half an hour, declaring that he would no longer keep his foreign policy disagreements with the Biden administration “behind closed doors.”
“The new US administration requested that I save our disagreements on the Iran nuclear deal for behind closed doors, and not share them publicly,” Netanyahu said Sunday, according to the Times of Israel. “I told them I won’t act that way.”

well I’m sure the Mossad (and other foreign intelligence agencies both enemy and friendly) have a pulse on what is going on in America and who is REALLY calling the shots here because it certainly ain’t Biden/Harris.
I would absolutely LOVE to see the profiles the Mossad has on haaris/biden. It’s part of their job to develop profiles on world leaders to predict and analyze how they will make decisions. and of course to also dig dirt up on them—both good and bad dirt—who influences them, who their contacts are, who they dealt with in the past etc.......

Yes. Aerial photos from American and/or British bombers who flew over Auschwitz showed the rail lines into the camp, the inmates housing, the command center, guard towers, etc.
All it would have taken would have been two low level raids to destroy the walls/guard towers to the camp, giving the prisoners a chance to escape or die as a free people.
FDR and I think Churchill turned down the idea saying that there were other priority targets that had to be hit. They could have let two small raids destroy the death camps/facilities, no matter the outcome.

Auschwitz was located in Poland. A bombing raid would have subjected the bomb groups to long distance flights over Germany with out fighter escort, going in bare until well into 1944 when the P51 came on line. The losses would have been devastating. Compare the raids over Schweinfurt for example. Stopping the Nazi war machine was the allies first military priority. Yes it was a harsh decision.
Both can dream.
