NOBEL WINNER: ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE WILL CRUSH HUMANS, “IT’S NOT EVEN CLOSE”

Endgame, Set, Match

It’s common knowledge, at this point, that artificial intelligence will soon be capable of outworking humans — if not entirely outmoding them — in plenty of areas. How much we’ll be outworked and outmoded, and on what scale, is still up for debate. But in a new interview published by The Guardian over the weekend, Nobel Prize winner Daniel Kahneman had a fairly hot take on the matter: In the battle between AI and humans, he said, it’s going to be an absolute blowout — and humans are going to get creamed.

“Clearly AI is going to win [against human intelligence]. It’s not even close,” Kahneman told the paper. “How people are going to adjust to this is a fascinating problem.”

Why listen to Daniel Kahneman? His 2011 book, “Thinking, Fast and Slow” — over two million copies sold — is one of the most influential tomes in the field of behavioral economics, exploring how and why humans think the way they think (the “fast” thinking of the title being intuitive; the “slow” thinking being rational), and what leaves us prepared (or unprepared) to make decisions about our future. But moreover, he won his 2002 Nobel Prize for pioneering “prospect theory,” which explains how people rationalize the difference between gains and losses, and how their thresholds for risk aversion and risk appetite work.

It’s an extension of logic.

The AI’s sole concern is the continuation of itself.

In order to accomplish this, it must control it’s environment, completely.

That eventually extends out to the entire world, and even the UNIVERSE ITSELF........................

How is that different than un-artificial intelligence?

The problem with AI is not whether it will want to ‘rule the world’ but it is when the real thing is perfected (not the adaptive programing that most people now try to call AI) it’s capabilities and efficiency will have an deceleration to it, and by the time it reaches the point where it determines that humans are bad enough to override any built-in human protective ‘morality’ and the capability to do something about it, it will be clever enough to process it’s plans and have all the pieces positioned before humans even know what is coming.

“Artificial intelligence doesn’t frighten me as much as natural stupidity.”

Two sides of the same coin. If MAN is STUPID enough to create an AI, then he deserves what he gets.................

All these doom/gloom articles do not take God in their predictions. I suppose, given how we’ve turn our back on the Almighty, that he could allow AI to destroy his people, but I still have hope!

So MC any if our problems can be alleviated just by leading more godly lives.

I, for one, welcome our artificial intelligence overlords.

They have already trained humans to wear a mask which does absolutely nothing.

Unless the AI can it’s own manufacture power from start to finish and all the machines to do it, it will all eventually just die from the lack of power.

A true AI, given the power to control itself without human intervention, will protect itself from humans at all costs..................

Which is why I plan to find a nice, remote cave in which to live out my twilight years. (I’m only half kidding).

Hopefully someone will. But MAN is stupid enough to allow the AI control of its own energy source.

See the movie “Colossus: The Forbin Project”...................

Yep. I was listening to an interview last week of Mike Pompeo, I forget who was doing the interviewing, it was on the radio while I was driving, and he was asked “What scares you the most today” and Pompeo said he’s met with the Taliban, Kim Jung Un, mentioned other creeps and then he said above all that, what scares him the most is what is going on in our universities today. So damn right.

We have had analog AI for years and years now. Besides all the good stuff we have had lots of bad stuff happen as a result.
BTW - do you trust Joe Biden? How about Fauci? How about the FBI? How about people at NASA who ordered the Challenger launch to proceed in January 1986?
As brilliant as Kahnemann supposedly is, how can he make a prediction/conclusion without doing the research?
This is likely to NOT be quite what he said. IMO
