As Thursday evening turned into Friday morning in the Middle East, the Israel Defense Forces began a ground operation against Hamas targets following days of indiscriminate attacks from the Iranian funded and equipped terrorists.
Israel Defense Forces @IDF IDF air and ground troops are currently attacking in the Gaza Strip.
Shortly after the IDF announcement that ground troops were joining the air attack, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu posted a video in which he says "I said that we would charge a very heavy price from Hamas," adding "the last word was not said and this operation will continue as long as necessary."

As Katie reported Thursday morning, an IDF spokesperson confirmed that a ground invasion was an option on the table as Israel continued to launch successful air strikes against terrorist targets, taking out a number of key leaders behind this week's attacks on Israeli cities.

I think nuking Mecca just by itself might actually destroy Islam as a religion.
One of the 5 pillars of Islam is the pilgrimage to Mecca. It’s expected of every good Muslim who can figure out a way to get there to make that pilgrimage.
The Muslim conception of Allah is such that they believe it is, quite literally, impossible that Allah would permit Mecca’s destruction.
Nuking the place would undermine their faith in a way that it is hard for Westerners to conceive.
It would not be at all similar to, for example, Muslims nuking Rome in an effort to undermine Catholicism. Catholics can imagine that; Muslims literally cannot imagine Allah permitting the same to happen to Mecca.
It would, to many of them, more or less positive inarguable proof that Allah does not really exist.
I personally believe that Bush should have announced on 9/12 that the West was hereafter holding the Muslim world collectively responsible for the acts of Muslim extremists, that it was up to Muslims to police their own, and that any repeat of the 9/11 attacks, or any other terrorist activity on a similar scale directed at the West, would immediately and inexorably result in Mecca being nuked.
He could have called it the “Bush Doctrine.”

And Europe is not on Israel’s side, and the US has enough problems to deal with.
IDF can push straight across Gaza to the Sea along .5 km avenues spearheaded by combat engineers. From those lines sectoring up Gaza, they will then begin the above and below ground “Grid Square” clearing of Hamas and other terrorists. Iran may well be targeted as well since they are the primary sponsor of the proxies Hamas. Beyond Iran there is the issue of Russia supporting Iran, but Russia has never intervened directly on Iran’s behalf against Israel.
Iron Drome is essentially the Israeli project of the Patriot Missile system. My wife was the Arrow Rocket Program Program Manager in Tel Aviv when I serving at the AmEmb Tel Aviv.
I have waited 15 years to see if the IDF Colonel’s tactics against Gaza, as mentioned above, is carried out.
Every square millimeter of Gaza is within artillery range from Israeli territory.
Israel should and will take advantage.
But they’re going to have to dig out 10,000 committed fighters from tunnels, hospitals and apartment buildings.
And kill them one by one.
Hamas will rue the day they agreed to do Iran’s bidding. If any of them survive anywhere.
They even have the support of the Biden administration, something I’m startled by.
Hell, even the squad has been quiet the last 24hrs.
Sounds similar to how the US Army cleared out Fallujah.
