My dad used to put pump gas into a plastic milk jug if he ran out of gas. It never actually caused a problem that I am aware of but of course they are flimsy and not vented and the gas would melt any styrofoam seal in the cap.

We had a bad cold snap years ago, and my neighbor took the barbecue in the house and fired it up. Fortunately, her son arrived a few minutes later. I didn’t know anything had happened until I looked out back and saw her bbq had been thrown out the back door.

I don’t think you can store gasoline in a plastic bag. The weight and substance will puncture the bag before you can put it in the trunk of your car and create a moving blow-up-thingy.
