A new variant of the coronavirus has developed in India, one that is making public health officials worried because it may be causing the country's terrible outbreak and could reduce the efficacy of available vaccines.
The India variant, known as B.1.617 and first identified in October, has been dubbed the “double mutant” variant because it contains two mutations of interest, E484Q and L452R. These are mutations on the spike protein, the part of the virus that attaches to a cell.
"Having two of these mutations which have been seen in other variants around the world are concerning, because there's a similarity in these mutations that confer increased transmissibility, and some of these mutations also result in reduced neutralization, which may have an impact on our countermeasures, including the vaccines," said Maria Van Kerkhove.
E484Q and L452R are known as escape mutations. These types of mutations make it easier for the spike proteins on the virus to evade the antibodies elicited by vaccines and invade cells in the body. Recent research in the journal Cell Host & Microbe found that E484Q was able to evade antibodies in convalescent plasma. An article in Cell recently found that variants containing L452R became more resistant to neutralizing antibodies.
Those attributes raise the fear that a person who's been vaccinated might still be able to carry enough of the mutated virus to infect others, including people who have not been inoculated or have been but have weakened immune systems...
Still, people who have been vaccinated and are infected by a coronavirus mutation are not likely to develop severe COVID-19 or die. Vaccines also elicit a response from another part of the immune system known as T-cells that attack cells infected with a virus... T-cells are able to recognize mutated forms of the coronavirus.

Any word on the conditions in which the deaths are occurring? The general state of health and nutrition of those individuals?
Whether they tried HCQ or Ivermectin?
Where in the country this was happening? The demographic and their hygiene habits?
There is a lot of missing information and simply spouting numbers willy nilly is not useful at all.
I remember last year when the reports were coming out of China showing people collapsing in the streets and buildings being welded shut and travel prohibited, which people thought were accurate AT THE TIME.
Turns out that it was mostly propaganda.
And now we are expected to believe without reservation that what's coming out of India is somehow accurate and true and cause for concern or panic?
It sounds more like they are prepping us for more lock downs, that it will be just another excuse to keep themselves in power and us under their thumb, asking pretty please, can we have our rights back.
And being told it's a trade off for getting the vaccine>
IOW, black mailing us with what we already have by the Constitution.
I think this SCREAMING KILLER VARIANT go-around the reports will show buildings collapsing in the streets and people being welded shut.

That excerpt is not very comforting. Moderna produces one of the better vaccines against Covid-19. That excerpt indicates that Moderna is incurring significant costs to produce this vaccine; is it possible that producing the vaccine will cause the company to go under?
I know, many people hate “Big Pharma” and imagine that pharmaceutical companies are raking in money by the truckload. The reality is that R&D is incredibly expensive.

Not to worry. That filing came out a couple months before they made a deal with the US Government to buy their vaccine.
Would like to see the US do a “Berlin airlift” delivery of vaccines. (Even better, of treatments- but there are so few and so little of them.)
I don’t know though, I have the impression that getting a vaccine when infected risks cyclostine (sp?) storm- not sure about that. But, if so, would be very risky with the state the med system is in there now.
Budesonide and steroids are the treatments they recommend for those who can’t access the medical system there.
And being over a billion in debt -- with talk of every 6-month- boosters being required -- while in competition with other manufacturers for a govt. / Chicom induced panic -- means they have every incentive to lie, cheat, and steal, to push the jabs.
BTW, in addition to Faux-Xi's having funded gain-of-function in Wuhan -- my hazy memory from over a year ago when this broke, wants me to say it was a name like Dr. Ralph Baric at University of North Carolina, before Wuhan, and there was some scandal of a Chinese student or co-worker there (*) -- someone ought to do a deep dive into Faux-Xi's financial incentives, patents on related technologies, and the like.
(*) I also recall in the early days of the plandemic, someone published copies of ads from the Wuhan Institute looking for postdocs to do research on bat coronaviruses?

They’re getting hammered by a new variant of the China Virus. One of the Network Engineers that reports to me from India has family members impacted by it. We were getting ready to implement a return to office for our India workers when this new “variant” hit. Its really bad there right now.
Its known as the Curry up and die Variant
