Dr. Anthony Fauci, President Joe Biden's chief medical adviser, acknowledged Sunday that gun violence in the US is a public health emergency.
'Myself, as a public health person, I think you can't run away from that. When you see people getting killed, in this last month it's just been horrifying what's happened. How can you say that's not a public health issue?' he told CNN's Dana Bash on 'State of the Union' when asked if gun violence was a public health emergency.

A lot of people are vaccinated against mass shootings. They wear the vaccine on their hips, typically inside the waistband. It’s highly effective, though, not 100% so. But the effectiveness can be gauged by the fact that 95% of mass public shootings occur where vaccinated people aren’t allowed to be.

I don’t even consider that opioid garbage a HEALTH crisis. It’s a choice, not a medical issue until they make it so.
If I understand correctly, Dr. Fauci’s specialty was HIV/AIDS, right? So he did his best work in the ‘80s. Now he is 80 years old. He should had retired at least 10 years ago. Time to put him to pasture. He could lecture at John Hopkins if he like, but he should not have an outsized role in the federal response to COVID-19.
