A Chicago-based prosecutor was placed on paid leave Friday for failing to mention in a statement that Adam Toledo, 13, had dropped the handgun he was holding before he was shot by a Chicago police officer, the Cook County State’s Attorney’s office announced.
"In court last week, an attorney in our office failed to fully present the facts surrounding the death of a 13-year-old boy," State’s Attorney Kim Foxx’s spokeswoman Sarah Sinovic said Saturday. She was referring to an April 10 hearing, according to the Chicago Sun-Times.

......James Murphy is probably a white guy and likely one of the few on the staff of hundreds in the Chicago Prosecutor’s office.
If he is Anglo, I have no doubt thats why he’s getting thrown under the bus. If a woman, a tranny, a black, a homo or some combination of all the above had done this they would be talking promotion and a distinguished service cross.

Adam raised his hand with the gun then tossed it. The cop saw Adam raise his hand with the gun and reflexes took over. If Adam had simply dropped the gun he would be alive but he was concerned that someone might find it if he just dropped it so he chucked behind the fence.
