They can’t get the seeds in the ground until the ground’s warm enough and these 60 degree days won’t do it for summer crops. We should be 70 or a little above this time of year.

Yeah, 50s are better than 90s but that’s a bit nippy when you want to get outside.

It is. I don’t linger but the air seems fresher at the cooler temps. I think I just spend too much time dreading summer. LOL!

I need to get over it and just enjoy every day. Right!?

Yup. Just gotta enjoy each day as it comes. There’s always something good about each day though it might not be the temperature. LOL

Howdy, E.G.C. ((HUGZ))

Did you and Gizmo have a good outing yesterday? Is it chilly there like it is in TX and TN?

I keep hoping you’ll get some rain soon and a decent amount of it. Y’all are hurtin’ for it.

The “green” seemed to explode here. It was drab gray and brown, then there was a green “haze” in the trees, then it seemed like overnight the trees were in full-leaf.
Hubby’s already had to mow the grass a couple of times.

We’ve been “promised” rain all week, but have gotten nothing. We’re still under an inch for the year. Our skin is SO dry!

It was a bit dreary yesterday. Unfortunately it was also misting and I couldn't take too many pictures yesterday but yes, we did have fun with our daily exercise and walk through Wichita Ridge yesterday.

This is what the weather looked like yesterday.

I was able to get a couple of headshots:

Also this one outside pic:

,

We will see how things go at Chisolm Trail Park later today.

Blue and I had a lovely ride to church and back, and then out again for some local lessons. It was a bit chilly, but lovely!

Gooood mornin', Early Birds!
Let's not forget to think of our troops!
They keep us safe and free
...and sacrifice their lives to do it!
We're finally getting a bit of rain.
So far not enough to measure, but...
...hope springs eternal. LOL!
Have a lovely Friday Eve!
((((hugs))))

Memorial Day Tribute early

“A Tribute. Scenes taken from Taking Chance”

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lo2HgOD292Y

I recommend reading all the comments below this video at the link above; here are a few:

“Having lost thirteen brave souls on my watch, I still cry tears for each of them. And I wonder what I could have done better to put them in a position to survive. We live for our troopers! This is the America I served twenty-five years for. God bless every one of these brave souls who gave it all for us all.”

“I had the HONOR of serving with the Finest. US MARINES.. Navy Corpsman 87 to 95................to all those who have gone down range.........to all those who still serve and have served. I THANK YOU...”

“A tribute to all who gave all. My uncle was MIA/KIA WWII. The hardest day of my life was being there as my husband received honors. He was a Vietnam Veteran—2 tours. Died of the affects of Agent Orange. It is not easy and never forgotten. Taking Chance was a great story.”

Just think of all the corrupt & treasonous politicians who are disgracing this nation and disgracing all who served past, present, and future. It should turn all our stomaches!

Catching up....

Thanks, ETR...for the early Memorial Day Tribute.

That was intense and my monitor was very fuzzy. We WILL remember and honor those who served...past, present, and future.
