Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) is seeking to end his running feud with President Trump, which escalated this weekend when the former president insulted him as a “dumb son of a bitch” and a “stone-cold loser” for not backing his false claims about the election.
Trump’s comments were especially stinging as they were widely publicized and came one day after Sen. Rick Scott (R-Fla.), the chairman of the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC), gave Trump a “Champion of Freedom Award" at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort.

One of the things not liked about McConnell is how he is too politically calculated at times...but had he stuck to that before going on what was uncharacteristically unhinged (for him) speech after the end of the impeachment trial he wouldn’t be in this situation.
No bias in THAT article . . . not a bit. . . .
Not true as McConnell had no power to unilaterally put the Senate in recess. The minority can keep it in pro-forma session. That is how he blocked Obama from making recess appointments while he was the Minority Leader. There was a big Supreme Court case related to that if you recall.
Let’s not forget Mitch held the threat of impeachment over Trump during the bullcrap mueller infestation.
McConnell is not a member of the House.
Mitch stopped the wall.
No he did not.
Mitch stopped repeat of Obamacare.
That was McCain - dramatic moment if you recall. McConnell was humiliated by McCain that night. However, he did get the repeal of the individual mandate through which allowed for non-Obamacare policies to return to the market without fear being fined for buying them. That's no small thing.
Mitch resisted using the national guard to go after antifa and BLM.
How do you figure that? A Senator has no power or role over the National Guard...not even the President in normal circumstances directly commands them - those are governors.
Much protected Wray and Rosenstein.
How did he "protect" them as a Senator?
Don't just go with narratives - research facts and the civic roles of Senators. He wasn't even involved in some of that and couldn't have been even if wanted to.
Mine took attached pages!
So mitch betrays the party, does irreparable damage, which he KNEW that he was doing, and now wants to be forgiven and have people like him atain?
Mcconnell thought Trump was gone and now he thinks he’s back
Same when he thought Trump could not run nor win.
Either you are FOR something or not
If you aren’t loyal to a cause or person, then don’t sign up in the first place.
More bad agenda push disguised as journalism. “Lies about stolen election”
McConnell, perhaps the best wayy to end the feud is for you to retire from politics.
Those were the judges approved prior by the Turd le. We seen how helpful they have been on the steal too.
Bitch McGonner
McConnell: “Ahem, Mr. Trump, after I have called you a traitor deserving prison time in well of the Senate, I think that I will reach out to you so history will record that I am, as a fearless statesman, a very generous person.”
Well if you’re looking for lying media you can stop in the first sentence.
Wasn’t that Mitch throwing shoes at Trump the day after the Jan. 6 erection?
Screw you Turtle.
Mitchie is on the way out and he knows it. Nobody beats Trump in Ghetto beat down.
“not backing his false claims”
“The Hill” is a mountain of sh!t.
Suck up or don’t, Mitch. You’re dead to me.
First of all, for better or worse, Miotch speaks for himself.
He would not deputize Thune to offer an olive branch or even attempt to influence the #Narrative. Every bit of agitprop by the Minority Leader comes straight from Miotch Central and his gang of Hillbillies.
"Senate Minority Whip John Thune (R-S.D.), McConnell’s top deputy, on Tuesday said the Senate GOP leader doesn’t have any ill will toward Trump and wants the feud to end."
F John Thune he talks too much to the press and he is a lazy thinker.
Miotch is worried Trump is right about his character -- that's the one thing Miotch considers a vulnerability -- but this is a complicated matter that involves Miotch's successor, the Kentucky Secretary of State Daniel Cameron, who is a rare black eagle: a rising Miotch acolyte and a Trump supporter.
I would take a pass on that opportunity.
Don't forget their favorite propaganda term "Big Lie".
