That's what happened, a mostly peaceful trespassing event, less crime than a typical dollar store looting which happens daily after a Black resists arrest and gets hurt.

As true as all this may be, our side still gave them exactly what they’ve wanted for decades, a made for TV right wing riot to use for decades to come. No one from our side should have ever entered the building. A peaceful demonstration on the steps would have been fine, but as soon as the first window was broken all bets were off. They had what they wanted. And for those that say our side didn’t do that stuff, well we gave cover to those that did, and that’s just as good for their purposes.

You wouldn’t even know that those ‘peaceful’ protest were happening across the country, but the ‘Trump’ supported right wing “insurrection” is still the talking points for the media and the democrats. The NG is still in DC and the fences are still up to protect from another possible attack.
