The state is investigating 102 potential cases of people becoming ill with COVID-19 more than two weeks after being fully vaccinated, the Washington State Department of Health reported Tuesday.
According to the state, the majority of those in Washington with confirmed vaccine breakthrough experienced only mild symptoms or no symptoms. However, eight people were hospitalized with COVID-19, and the state is investigating two "potential" breakthrough cases where patients died.
Both of those patients were more than 80 years old and suffered underlying health issues, according to the state.
The state said that the breakthrough cases are 0.01% of the 1.2 million fully vaccinated people in Washington state, which health officials say falls within the results of the clinical studies of the vaccines.
The Pfizer, Moderna and Johnson & Johnson vaccines reduced the risk of getting COVID-19 in vaccinated people by up to 95%, according to the studies.

“It is important to remember that every vaccine on the market right now prevents severe disease and death in most cases,” Dr. Umair A. Shah, MD, MPH, the state's Secretary of Health, said in a prepared statement. “People should still get vaccinated as soon as they are eligible, and encourage friends, loved ones, and co-workers to do the same.”
Breakthrough cases have been identified in 18 counties. The state is also looking into whether virus variants may have caused the infections.
The state will add data on breakthrough cases to its COVID-19 dashboard by late April, officials said.
So they’ll do everything in their power to not attribute deaths to the vaccine after having done everything in their power to attribute deaths to Covid. Nothing to see here. Move along.

A huge number of Chinavirus cases are “mild or no symptoms” already. How do they know that these particular cases can be attributed to the effects of the vaccine rather than to the normal actions of the virus?

I have the same question. The people where were mild symptoms, might have been mild without the vaccine.
Wait...they can isolate COVID-19 variants but still can’t isolate COVID-19 itself to get a “real” vaxx instead of a “genetic therapy” innoculation?
You \do\ realize that the EUA vaxxes create Genetically Modified Organisms (GMO; “frankenfoods”) meant fight COVID-19, right?
In the next 2-4 months you are going to start seeing cases appear in people who were vaccinated in Dec/Jan, if the 6 month immunity thing is true. However most of those health care workers will likely receive a booster if they take care of Covid patients. Then in the fall, all will receive a booster along with their flu shot.

“tested positive” is in no way the same as “having COVID”. We all know the tests are dubious at best and produce very high FALSE positives.

102 cases out of over a million vaccinated. No, that’s a lot lower. Those vaccinated so far are likely in higher risk groups, so the two p ercent death rate needs to be considered in that context, in which the death rate is orders of magnitude higher. Bottom line is the vaccines are saving lives. Thank President Trump for Operation. Warp Speed.

I remember they tighten the testing sensitivity after Biden was elected. This reduce the false positives.

I know math is hard, but please...it’s not even close:
About 31 million confirmed cases and 500 thousand dead out of 330 million people unvaccinated. About 1 million vaccinated, so divide the population data by 330. That gives just under a million cases and a bit over a thousand deaths expected from any group of 1 million unvaccinated people. That’s a lot more than 102 cases and 2 deaths.

While less than 0.8% of those NOT vaccinated die of the virus?
