I’ve been involved with the “justice system” all my adult life. Foreign born Muslims have a very low crime rate, and are generally productive ( and successful) citizens.
He does in many regards. The balding, the beer belly, the unkempt beard.
However, jihadi's are most likely to be 20 somethings and "male pattern baldness" is not uncommon starting in the teens and is very prevalent in the middle east.
The beer gut likely comes from throwing back far too many local micro-brews while sitting around reading/watching the filth that says the United States is the great satan.

I heard a news report earlier today that this killer was being investigated already because of his connection with someone who was being investigated by the FBI. So, there is definitely something more here.
