Before Illinois residents can return to what Gov. J.B. Pritzker calls a “new normal,” he says 7-in-10 residents 65 and older must get a COVID-19 vaccination.
Pritzker appeared in Chicago on Thursday to announce the requirements the state must meet before he will remove his restrictions on businesses and crowd capacities.
“It’s time to cautiously move toward normalcy,” he said. “It’s imperative that we do so in a way that maintains all the progress we’ve made to date.”
Notably, Pritzker said 70% of the state’s 65 and older residents must get vaccinated.
“I’m optimistic about reaching that milestone because, as of this morning, that number is 58%,” he said.
In a release, his office said 28 days of low viral spread and other metrics must follow that vaccination threshold before he would begin to “turn the dial” toward his final “Phase 5” mitigations.

FWIW—my mother, a set of grandparents, and a set of great-grandparents all spent multiple years in the Land of Lincoln. The bulk of my personal political insight into Illinois came from my grandfather who passed through the state a couple of times courtesy of the U.S. Navy.
Ha ha. But it’s a possible danger, because seniors forget things and lose things. Then would they have to take a second shot, which could be bad for them? Asking for many friends.
Good on you. I’m older than you, in very good shape, strong immune system. I’ve been taking the supplements now recommended to strengthen immune system every morning of my life for 40+ years. Almost all pharmaceuticals are too strong for me.

Just like the WuFlu stats themselves, we know we can’t trust the data the MSM, CDC, RATs, etc., throw at us. Also, they’ve only been vaxxing for about 90 days so it’s hard to say what will shake out by December 2021.
On Saturday I’ll be live streaming my cousin’s funeral in Virginia. He died in his recliner two days after getting the first jab. He was 77, healthy, on the side of our family whose longevity normally runs into their 90s.
He was a big lib, and eager to get the shot. Very sweet, though, and his family is lovely. His list of military honors and medals is extensive; we had no idea until we read the obit.
Sadly, gone are the days when we generally could trust medical statistics. The whole 2020-21 S**tshow is sickening.

Nationwide 66.3% of those 65 and older have gotten a first shot. So another week or two for 70%.
Figure a month later, if he’s holding out for the seconds.

Easy, in Texas they scan both sides of your drivers license, your QR code for your invite to the vaccine group you are in, and the vial of the vaccine which had the manufacturer, batch number and syringe number since each vial makes multiple doses before the shot is given. This info is then put in a County database that the release form you signed walking in the door. Also allows them to release all this info to the state and the feds.

Fat-boy Pritzker and Mayor Groot would much rather see a healthy 18 yr old from the hood who has essentially a 0% risk of dying from COVID get the vaccine before an 85 year old in a suburban nursing home who truly is at risk for dying from this Chinese created plague.
