Alaska Republican Party vows to recruit challenger to Sen. Lisa Murkowski in 2022

ANCHORAGE, Alaska — The Alaska Republican Party has voted to censure U.S. Sen. Lisa Murkowski and will recruit a challenger to run against her in next year’s election.

The Republican State Central Committee voted in favor of the censure during a meeting Saturday in Anchorage after district-level officials passed a series of similar resolutions.

“We’re looking for somebody else to be our U.S. Senator in 2022, and somebody who will be more in line with the Republican philosophy,” said Kris Warren, who wrote Saturday’s resolution and serves as the chairman of the Republican Party in an Anchorage House district.

Under party rules, a resolution of censure is just “an official rebuke and disapproval,” but a picture of Saturday’s resolution, posted online, explicitly states that the party “will hereby recruit a Republican Party challenger to oppose and prohibit Senator Murkowski from being a candidate in any Republican primary to the extent legally permissible.”

Dunleavy don't got balls; he's not going to get re-elected. He blew it when he wouldn't stand up to the state dems concerning fiscal problems. State repubs got shocked at his loss of character; wish they'd never voted for him. There is a mayor on Kenai who talks a good line, seems honest enough. We also have a state rep who is a airline pilot and flew F-16's in Serbia; He impresses me.

The good ole boy repub network controls everything, they decide who gets to run; and they are the most corrupt.

Lisa’s only good if we have 54 senators. Getting impatient regarding Sarah. If the senate looks good for us in November ‘22 I say it would be a small price to pay to take her out.

They would have to overcome the democrats that vote for Murky, and the senile republicants that continue to vote for her.

Actually, given the way the law was, she was able to still run as a Republican as a write-in candidate. She was not even on the ballot.

Next time around the system will be a jungle primary with the top 4 finishers going to the general election. She will almost certainly finish in the top 4. Since she has been able to win without even being on the ballot before, she’s probably going nowhere.

There will be no more party primaries in Alaska. This next time around it is a top-4 finisher primary with 4 candidates on the ballot for the general election.

but since there is no longer a party primary I’m not sure how that will matter.

No, she remained categorized as a Republican, albeit as a write-in candidate. That was in the 2010 race.

Next time around there is no party primary - it is a jungle primary with the top 4 finishers going to the general election.

Jungle primary. Top 4 advance. She’ll be one of 4.

If she comes in 3rd of 4. She’s out. But the Dems don’t make a big challenge to Murkowski. So she’ll be one of top 2.

Dems vote for her and enough Rs, too. Can’t deny Her a majority in the ranked choice final round.

Sen. Ted Stevens was robbed! FBI raided his house and found nothing.

Dallas Seavey just won his fifth Iditarod, and seems like a decent fellow, but what is he politically? If he’s not a democrat, for all we know he may be an even worse RINO than Murky.

We need someone to run against Murky who is a conservative, not just somebody with a famous name.

As an Alaskan, I say these things.

Why not Palin’s ex-husband. He comes from a solid extended family, has great name recognition and has not been minimized as has she.

I think they are now called, “extremely cold weather native Americans”.

But what do I know, I am a native Californian.

An ethically and legally dubious race in 2010. I believe it forbade “sore losers” from running. She was effectively supported and aided by the Demonrats and should’ve been thrown out of the GOP right there and then. Miller was the Libertarian nominee in 2016. That was going to be a tough road to hoe.

It’s remarkable their marriage lasted that long given the 24/7 attacks from the evil media/pop culture/Demonrats. I see no reason a divorce should prevent her from taking out the trash in ‘22.

They did that in 2010 effectively to help Lisa after she lost the GOP renomination. But they’ll have to commit to either supporting her or their nominee. Doing so means splitting the vote and Palin wins.

There’s never a guaranteed “strong beyond strong” candidate. The lying leftist media will destroy anyone’s character and reputation in order to protect their own (as a Derp Stater, Lisa is “one of theirs”). This is the single reason why nearly all good Conservative people stay out of politics (running for office). They won’t subject their family to 24/7 hate, lies and attacks.
