Alaska Republican Party vows to recruit challenger to Sen. Lisa Murkowski in 2022

ANCHORAGE, Alaska — The Alaska Republican Party has voted to censure U.S. Sen. Lisa Murkowski and will recruit a challenger to run against her in next year’s election.

The Republican State Central Committee voted in favor of the censure during a meeting Saturday in Anchorage after district-level officials passed a series of similar resolutions.

“We’re looking for somebody else to be our U.S. Senator in 2022, and somebody who will be more in line with the Republican philosophy,” said Kris Warren, who wrote Saturday’s resolution and serves as the chairman of the Republican Party in an Anchorage House district.

Under party rules, a resolution of censure is just “an official rebuke and disapproval,” but a picture of Saturday’s resolution, posted online, explicitly states that the party “will hereby recruit a Republican Party challenger to oppose and prohibit Senator Murkowski from being a candidate in any Republican primary to the extent legally permissible.”

How about Dallas Seavey, he’s a winner!

If she isn’t nominated she’ll run 3rd Party...just to give the middle finger to the GOP.And there can be no doubt that Rat Party Headquarters will pour many millions into that one.

Maybe they should draft someone conservative to run as an independent first.

There were 14 lawsuits against Sarah Palin, all of which were eventually thrown out of court but which cost a huge amount of her personal money to defend against. One media outlet in the US actually paid for a man ( so-called journalist) to rent the house next-door to her to watch her and her children for one year. The left will stop at nothing.

Yes, I do realize this, thanks. We are on the same page on this.

And (not being an Alaskan it's only advice from afar) I suggest that it's time for a new and extraordinarily qualified and extraordinarily strong beyond strong candidate to challenge Ms. Murkowski in the next primary.

Sarah may have a residence in Az. Go against Kelly. The Gov. can take on Lisa.

The Libertarian candidate got 2.5% of the POTUS vote last Nov.
Not sure how that compares with other states.

Should have been done back in 2010. She had revealed her stripes even before that.

She was defeated in the GOP primary in 2010, she ran as an independent (and a write-in at that) against a "real Republican", and she won by 11 000 votes.

She will do it again, or run as a Democrat. She will be very difficult to beat, especially for a woman whom lives in Arizona.

if Lisa wins the primary the alternative would be to vote in a democrat

SHE WAS ALREADY BEATEN IN A GOP PRIMARY (2010) and won anyway.

How about the current Governor (Mike Dunleavey)?

His current term is up then.

Concerned the kids would be “green”. Dude says toilet inside the house? That’s disgusting. Dad has an indoor toilet.

Most of my dem neighbors already vote for lisa, if she wasn't the repub candidate my neighbors would vote democrat for senator. The Indians all vote for Lisa, she promises them all the gold they can eat; entire villages 100% vote lisa. Just enough repubs vote for lisa because of her support for 2nd amendment. This is how lisa gets elected. As much as I don't like lisa; I'd hate to see a liberal dem as our senator. Be careful what you wish for, no joke.

I've been watching lisa play the womens issues since she run for state house in Anch many years back.

Wasn’t Lisa elected as an Independent? Seems like it would be a three way race, or someone has to qualify as an Independent to challenge her.

If she were to move back to Alaska and run and win another office

She never moved from Alaska as far as I know. We all thought she might after Todd filed for divorce.

The voters were confused and went with the name they knew. When TRUMP shows up there, as he has promised to do, things will be different, and the Republican base will know EXACTLY what to do.

And, hopefully, that will be the end of this HUGE EMBARRASSMENT to the Republican Party.
