ANCHORAGE, Alaska — The Alaska Republican Party has voted to censure U.S. Sen. Lisa Murkowski and will recruit a challenger to run against her in next year’s election.
The Republican State Central Committee voted in favor of the censure during a meeting Saturday in Anchorage after district-level officials passed a series of similar resolutions.
“We’re looking for somebody else to be our U.S. Senator in 2022, and somebody who will be more in line with the Republican philosophy,” said Kris Warren, who wrote Saturday’s resolution and serves as the chairman of the Republican Party in an Anchorage House district.
Under party rules, a resolution of censure is just “an official rebuke and disapproval,” but a picture of Saturday’s resolution, posted online, explicitly states that the party “will hereby recruit a Republican Party challenger to oppose and prohibit Senator Murkowski from being a candidate in any Republican primary to the extent legally permissible.”

She, under tremendous attack by political foes, resigned her office in 2009. (I'm not saying the attacks were fair, I'm saying that I wanted her to be stronger than strong.)
If she were to move back to Alaska and run and win another office, the Dem vultures would be back in greater numbers.

For those who proclaim Sarah is a non starter. I even think a state like Alaska is lost. Yes,I am a dismal pessimist but I see very little hope in elections going forward. What is changing?
You do realize she had to resign because she was being personally forced to pay to defend herself against FALSE ethics charges being frivolously filed by Demonrat operatives. She was effectively bankrupted.
It’s time for her comeback and to take out the Murkowski malignant cancer, just as she did 15 years ago with Frank.
Lisa can’t win the primary. She’s gone too far this time. She lost it to Joe Miller in 2010. She should switch parties already.

It was done back in 2010 and she became one of only two Senate candidates who ever successfully launched and won a write in campaign. Strom Thurmond was the first.
And then she beat his *** in a write campaign and then she beat him again in 2016.
Sarah had her heart broken by her scumbag husband of 30 years. She’s not going to run.
