Trump’s Acting Defense Secretary Blames Him for Capitol Attack: ‘Pretty Much Definitive That Wouldn’t Have Happened’ Without Him

Christopher Miller, who served as acting secretary of defense under former President Donald Trump, blamed him for the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol in a new interview.

“Would anybody have marched on the Capitol, and tried to overrun the Capitol, without the president’s speech?” Miller said during an interview with Vice on Showtime, which will air in full on March 14. “I think it’s pretty much definitive that wouldn’t have happened.”

Shortly before Trump supporters stormed the Capitol on Jan. 6, the president told the crowd of his “Save America Rally” that the 2020 election was “a criminal enterprise,” and encouraged them to “fight like hell.”

“If you don’t fight like hell, you’re not going to have a country anymore,” he said hours before members of that same crowd burst through the doors of Congress in an attempt to stop lawmakers from certifying the results.

Miller noted that although he does not know if Trump knew his speech would invoke such a drastic response, there would not have been an attack without him.

“It seems cause-and-effect,” Miller said of Trump’s speech, later adding, “The question is, did he know he was enraging people to do that? I don’t know.”

Miller was named acting secretary of defense in November 2020, after Trump fired Mark Esper. Miller received backlash on Jan. 6 for his response to the Capitol attack, as many faulted his department for taking too long to deploy the National Guard.

“It comes back to understanding how the military works — this isn’t a video game, it’s not Black Ops Call of Duty,” Miller said, defending his part in the response, before revealing that he never spoke to Trump on Jan. 6.

“...Capitol Attack: ‘Pretty Much Definitive That Wouldn’t Have Happened’ Without Him”

No, he’s right. If Trump hadn’t been mistreated by the liberals and press, and not had way too many questionable situations during the election not to investigate properly, and had not gone after illegally acting liberals like the Biden family as his job and a 1999 Clinton signed treaty required him to, he wouldn’t be in the loop at all.

But does this mean that the middle January attacks in Oregon at the start of his term weren’t caused, pretty much by Biden?

And even to the point of making it to overseas news media:

Sorry, you’ll have to be a member to get into this last one.

And to the point of blaming Trump for something he had nothing to do with the state and he never even went to during campaign 2020:

https://theintercept.com/2021/03/03/antifa-portland-sean-kealiher-murder/

Miller’s a con artist trying to cover his azz from the media blitz on his lack of action during the riot. But the real humor in it is that the actual call does not come for the President.

The National Guard is administered by the National Guard Bureau, which is a joint activity of the Army and Air Force under the DoD. The National Guard Bureau provides a communication channel for state National Guards to the DoD. The National Guard Bureau also provides policies and requirements for training and funds for state Army National Guard and state Air National Guard units, the allocation of federal funds to the Army National Guard and the Air National Guard,[16] and other administrative responsibilities prescribed under 10 U.S.C. § 10503. The National Guard Bureau is headed by the Chief of the National Guard Bureau, who is a four-star general in the Army or Air Force and is a member of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. They are delegated to make the call to deploy into state controlled operations upon the pertinent governors request under title 32.

And the President only has control under title 10 after they have been activated in a federal response need. Like I said, Miller is a scam artist trying to cover his keyster for his lack of doing about nothing.

So...despite Nazi Pelosi rejecting President Trump's offer of the National Guard's assistance, the acting Defense Secretary who was given a budget of BILLIONS of dollars couldn't protect ONE building from a fraternity prank.

Yes, fat, drunk, and stupid John Blutarski outshines Christopher Miller.

Miller needs to turn in his uniform and have his PowerPoint wand broken over the local American Legion Commander's knee.

Might as well have kept Esper or Mattis, if this is what you get.

He was alone, under attack from all points of the compass

****************************************

No one forced his top two advisors on him. That being Jared and Ivanka. To go back to the Godfather, those two were not wartime consiglieres and that’s what Trump needed right out of the gate. Just spitballing here but I’m guessing those four years would have gone a lot different if Trump had picked Colonel Allen West and Candace Owens as his top two advisers instead of Ivanka and Jared.

“NBC News, citing a source familiar with the situation, reported later Friday that Yevgeny Vindman, Alexander’s twin brother who like him worked at the NSC as an attorney, was also escorted out of the White House. Yevgeny was not a witness at the House impeachment hearings.”

And my point is that the White House itself, and the Trump Presidency were utterly infested with deep state spies starting with Comey’s meeting with Trump. McMaster, Bolton, and all of the impeachment witnesses.

He was hated for winning, and the DC party conspired to allow him to sit in the White House, but constrained him and boxed him in very closely. And as you said, it started with Pence and Yates getting Flynn fired and bringing in neocon globalist McMaster in him place.

And it was not only the hiring, it was the lack of firing. Trump was told my Graham, McConnell, Ryan, etc that any firing after Comey’s surprise would result in instant impeachment and removal. So the FBI coup leaders, Sessions, Barr, etc were all protected to work against him.

You got that right. Flynn was Trumps ONLY loyal cabinet member and Pence capped him

I’m not fans of them, but they at least were loyal to him. That can be said about -very- few others. Huckabee comes to mind as one.

Antifa/BLM used Trump’s rally as a cover to enter the Capitol and stage a fake pro-Trump riot, so yeah, by Leftist standards it makes it Trump’s fault.

Precisely.

They all seem to have lost their short term memory or even long term memory of how Trump and his supporters were viciously harassed every day for the past 4 years. The stolen election was the final straw, and then how it wasn’t even deserving of an investigation unlike the Hillary Clinton Trump/Russia collusion hoax. THAT is why people stormed the Capital and if you ask me, they didn’t go far enough. The military should have been right there with them taking Pelosi and all the rest of these traitors into custody.

It appears that he appointed a vipers nest of traitors and backstabbers.

Trump, NOT being a politician didn't realize that in Wash D.C., unlike in business, 90% of those inside the beltway are A$$HOLES, TRAITORS, and BACKSTABBERS by nature.

Again, I largely agree with that. The hostiliy of establishment DC made working in Trump’s Administration unsavory for people who were experienced and wanted to continue to work in and/or around DC.

With respect to that Vindman photo-op, that’s what that was, a photo-op. Vindman did not work in the White House, although his brother may have. I’m not sure. I know people who were on the staff with him. He worked in an annex...like the vast majority of NSC staffers do.

Granted, he was likely a semi-frequent visitor. But, the way that story was written (and several others from that day), it makes it seem that A) Trump is petulant and vindictive and Vindman was a major player in Trump’s White House. He wasn’t. He was just an O5 staffer, one of dozens on the NSC staff.

I thought Miller was supposed to prepare for ‘something big’.

Remember this?

...Christopher Miller, a special forces man; moving special forces into their own command, rather than having them function as subsets of other military branches; and firing potentially disloyal members of the civilian Defense Policy Board. These actions indicated that Trump was clearing the decks for something big.....

https://freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3910443/posts

He was supposed to be preventing the coup, I thought we read.

😩

What a total, lying, PO$ this guy is.

He knows darned well that PDJT is NOT responsible for the Antifa infiltration.

Why not just say that, rather than look like a complete traitorous, stinking dog?
