"They suspended her 23 times in one year," said Jessica Black, Lanyiah's mother.

I think I see a trend developing here. What does her father have to say on this? Oh wait never mind.

"adult-like" is not the term I would use.

I remember as a kid I’d get my bottom reddened if I caused trouble at school. If the teacher said I did something wrong, it was gospel. There was never a conversation.

Parenting is dead. They’ve handed it over to digital assistants. Kids commiserate with their peers, leading to an echo chamber of insubordination, and suddenly there’s a discipline issue. Amazing.

Even juvenile lions can bare their teeth and roar.

In her Netflix movie she’ll be shown to be expelled for defending herself from a white boy trying to sexually assault her.

Does excessive f*****g up precede the excessive discipline? If so, then it’s proportional, not excessive.

It’s the old line about trouble:

Don’t start none,
Won’t be none.

One possible solution is having a test school for black girls only. Taught and administered by black females only.

See if they progress better in that environment.

” In January we began a professional development series for all PUSD employees on Critical Race Theory for addressing “Student Achievement through the Creation of Strong Relationships” and are establishing equity teams at each school site. “

Equity? In no way would I want my child to be in anyway equal to this child.

In my entire life I’ve never seen anyone expelled for being ‘adult-like’.

Why are there more men in prison? It must be discrimination. Oh wait...

In some ways I feel really bad for young black girls. Many have no father and neither do young males, leading to poor behavior in how the two interact. The males are influenced by music constantly referring to them as “bitches and hoes”. It’s hardly a winning formula to expect positive outcomes.

...of course if you recognize this and point it out you’re ‘racist’. There’s obviously forces that want to keep them in this cycle. I wonder where such forces derive? hmm....

Not only have we already forgotten the lessons of the Parkland Shooting, but apparently we never even learned them. That shooter had multiple VIOLENTLY CRIMINAL incidents at his school the year before the shooting. Rather than the school pursuing criminal charges or at least an order of protection - both of which would have kept the shooter from legally purchasing a firearm when he turned 18 - the school did nothing, as the Obama Administration encouraged them to do.
