Very oppressive government. Kind of like ours, but actually even worse.
some reports now saying an ammo dump exploded
An explosion would be an improvement for most parts of Africa.
They’ll have the place spic and span, looking brand new in no time!

An interesting topic on the general subject, and Western aid.
The average IQ in Guinea is around 68 or so IIRC.

Can’t find it just now, but I read something here at FR that a South African wrote about death in Africa. The numerous causes, the fatalistic attitude, etc.
Gads.
The Wookie looks like she’s going to rip off that woman’s arm and gnaw its flesh to the bone.
Interesting comment. Why do you say that?
Ammo depot. Perhaps a similar incident to Beirut with improper storage of old energetic materials?
Based on average income, Equatorial Guinea is by far the richest country in Africa, bar none. It has huge oil reserves. If properly distributed, they should live there happily with GDP about as good as the poorer European countries. However the people are living on the African standard of less than $1000 a year, starving and dying young. All the money goes to this lovely couple and few of their friends.
Moreover they live there is actually worse than in most African countries, as the Equatorial Guinea government is “worst of the worst” human right abuser’s, condoning murder, forced labor, human trafficking, sex trafficking, no freedoms whatsoever.
But they seems to have friends in the proper places.
Thoughts and prayers to the injured.
Bill Gates needs to install monitoring cameras in all the poor countries so when things like this happen, we have good news coverage. We need to deal with the important things first, then we can work on all that humanitarian shite.
Any good links to the explosion as it happens?
