Republican Rep. Liz Cheney of Wyoming might be popular with members of Washington, D.C.’s elite class after she’s attacked former President Donald Trump in recent months, but it doesn’t look like that popularity matters where it counts: with her own voters.
In the weeks since Cheney voted with Democrats and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to impeach former President Donald Trump, her popularity has waned and she’s now attracted at least two serious primary challengers. One of those challengers, Wyoming state Rep Chuck Gray, recently told Just The News that it’s time for his state’s voters to “Get rid of Liz Cheney” over her betrayal of voters and of the former president.
“It is abundantly clear to those of us who actually live in Wyoming that Liz Cheney views her positions as nothing more than a stepping stone, and we’re just supposed to go along with it. Well, not anymore. Wyoming agrees with President Trump … it is time to get rid of Liz Cheney,” Gray said in a statement to Just The News.
“My proven record of leadership for the people of Wyoming is the polar opposite of hers, and it is why I am proud to announce my intent to seek the Republican Party’s nomination to serve the citizens of Wyoming in the United States House of Representatives,” he added.
Gray also issued a blistering attack ad that put Cheney on notice.

As for Lizard, she will be a temporary media darling "victim", one suspects.
One also suspects that she needs to look for alternative employment.
A native-born provision for Congress, as in you actually have to be from the state or district you represent, would be a good thing.
Feel free to head out there if you think it’s Miami Beach.
Been there done that.
Note the record lows in the chart for Jackson Hole
Winter of 78-79 was rather entertaining
From this website:
https://www.jacksonholewy.com/area-information/weather/average-temperatures-in-jackson-hole/
Note the point about the inversion layer in the Hole. As you climb out of Jackson the temperature goes UP, not down. Quite spectacular to be at say 14000 on top in the sun with the Grand Tit right next to you...
Looks like you have nailed it. Florida Congressman Matt Gaetz has already been in Wyoming campaigning effectively for GOP state senator, Anthony Bouchard; I have been contributing to his campaign. Now another GOP candidate is jumping in; this does not bode well for defeating a classic unrepresentative RINO!
You mention 'Dem crossovers'. This has been my sounding alarm for years: open primaries totally defeat the democratic purpose of primaries - to allow party members to pick their candidates instead of party hacks in smoke-filled rooms. Open primaries insure Democrat Party wins forever.
Here there is just another GOP challenger, except, as you say, it just opens the field and begins the watering down process. This is not good news. :^!
Gross! I would definitely not consider skiing at 50 below. I know Steamboat had a regular inversion as well. It was nice to get off the gondola and have it be much warmer up top.
I hate Mob Mentality no matter the side.
It’s a nice, but expensive place to visit.
When it gets to -50F it’s time to Hole up. The ski/snow friction goes WAY up. Not useful.
-50F is not the norm and shouldn’t keep one away, even for living there [should one happen to have Cheney FU money].
Yeah, a lot of areas have the same Wx because the towns are in the basins; even a town as big as Salt Lake has a nasty inversion layer that hangs between the Wasatch and the Oquirrh range in the winter.
Jackson has a marketing problem with the temperatures so they make sure to downplay it, but word gets around. Obviously it’s not like that all winter every winter, but often enough. The rich peeples don’t ski anyway, I guess they send the butlers out to do that for them...they can afford the heating bills too, so they just flit in for a short stay, hit the bars at the resort and then head back to California or New York...
Liz Cheney needs to get up with Bill Kristol and start a... new party. Even include some of the Lincoln project pedophiles... We don't need 'em. They could call it 'Turncoats R us'...
Other then through elections, the full House decides the “fitness” of its members to hold their seats\memberships.
A Pelosi House will do what ? It’s in the Constitution.
Note: Even if you could “impeach” a congresscritter. “Impeachment” does not mean removal !
Jackson is an extreme mountain as well. I visited a friend who lived there in the early 90’s but my one day to ski was nasty with poor visibility. I did have a good time at the Mangy Moose the night before.
Both of her challengers are good men, and I’d like either one i9n Congress, but the two of them are likely to split the vote and get her renominated.
Remember the Romney-Gingrich-Santorum race.
Only 6 feet of snow last week? Almost tropical!
She is an arrogant disgrace.
Absolutely true. All 145 need to go.
” an extreme mountain “
Yeah...that’s the good point!
All the hedge fund tourists stay off the steep stuff...
But the bad weather is typical. Sunny days the exception at least in my experience. They don’t have those big snowfall numbers for nothin’...
Luv the old Moose. Jeez, last time I was there...43 years ago? All the Wilson crowd there with us. That’s where all the serfs live...
I agree!
