Former President Trump released a new tranche of endorsements as he asserts himself as the leader of the Republican Party going into the 2022 midterms.
In a trio of endorsements Friday evening, Trump announced his support for South Carolina Gov. Henry McMaster (R) and Idaho Sen. Mike Crapo (R), both of whom are running for reelection, and Arkansas Lieutenant Governor Tim Griffin (R), who is running to be his state’s attorney general.
In his endorsements, Trump cast the lawmakers as staunch supporters of an array of conservative values, touting their stances on immigration, gun rights and more.
Trump said McMaster “is Strong on the Military, our Vets, Crime, and the Second Amendment” and that Crapo “will continue to be a Champion for our Second Amendment and the great Outdoorsmen and Women of Idaho and the USA.” The former president added that Griffin “will stand shoulder-to-shoulder with the brave Men and Women of Law Enforcement.”
The slew of endorsements underscore Trump’s deepening involvement in races across the country heading into the 2022 midterms.
Trump appears set to style himself as a GOP kingmaker, and his support remains a huge benefit to Republicans running in ruby red states like South Carolina, Idaho and Arkansas.

By backing Crapo, Trump is supporting yet another senator like Scott of SC who failed to object to the fraudulent 2020 election. So, while Trump will actively oppose those RINOs who voted to impeach him, he is supporting those who failed to act to guarantee a republican form of government as required by the constitution. What will the MAGA crowd do if more patriotic Republicans challenge his endorsed candidates? How much financial support will Trump actually give these fair weather friends of free and fair elections, or are these endorsements hollow so he can say he supported the party?

If we get a chance to flush the Marxists out in 2022 (iffy chance at best) and don’t do it we will see 1000 years of world wide tyranny descend on mankind. The Dark Ages will look like a Covid Variant by comparison.

Crapo is definitely a mistake. We need this guy primaried. I’d love for Raul Labrador to run against him.

I love president Trump, I wish he were president, but the fact is he has a HORRIBLE record on endorsements... not to mention ALL 3 of his SCOTUS appointees betrayed the constitution!
How many times did Trump admit regret over his own endorsements?
Trump needs to play his cards or go away!
He is either our 45th president in his 2nd term, or he walked away from defending the constitution himself.

Trump is not a revolutionary. Never has been. Never will be. He’s cozying up to these useless GOP Senators to give the appearance that he actually has some allies in the swamp. 93-7 shows he does not.

“So, while Trump will actively oppose those RINOs who voted to impeach him, he is supporting those who failed to act to guarantee a republican form of government as required by the constitution.”
Maybe he’s trying to tell us to get over it in the sense that, by the time the Senate was involved, the election was LONG OVER and people in the base were dreaming if they thought they could flip the results in January. Trump was toast the moment the Supreme Court ruled against Texas.
He also went to Georgia, twice, to try to help 2 Republicans, who didn’t do jack for him, to win Senate seats. Maybe because, unlike many in the base, he understands that things can get FAR, FAR, WORSE if the Democrats get full control of the country, instead of just partial control. And for those who don’t think so, go read the Cambodia piece to see what Trump is worried about.

Crapo will be 71 years old. We need new blood. Electing him again will allow resources to be spent in more competitive races. If trump leads we should follow. Use your head.

I first heard the word used about 10 years ago, and used in the context of funding very large projects at work, too costly to fund all at once. We really liked tranches.
And, if that doesn’t tell you what it means, then look it up. That’s what I did.

Folks here on FR should go back over Trump’s last five years and see the clear pattern he followed: HE ONLY ENDORSES WINNERS.
Trump will support a RINO who is a winner over a MAGA candidate who is a loser. It’s really that simple.
And let’s stop posting all the variations of this nonsense on FR: “Sen. X and Rep. Y should be primaried because they didn’t stop the coup on January 6th!” That’s idiotic. There was nothing that could be done to overturn the Electoral College by that time, and there are plenty of damn good reasons why you don’t want Senators and House members voting to disqualify electoral votes from states they don’t represent.

“”Tranche” is a French word meaning “slice” or “portion.””
NOT necessarily a LARGE portion. More likely a SMALL portion or “slice”. Hence a “tranche” of 3 is correct.

Trump nominated many federal judges who disappointed in their contempt for free and fair elections, not just to SCOTUS. Apparently, McConnell put their names on a list for Trump. Trump really should address this.
How many times did Trump admit regret over his own endorsements?
He hasn't. I don't know that he ever will. The MAGA crowd isn't obligated to support his endorsed candidates.
Trump needs to play his cards or go away!
Even the best leaders make mistakes. Trump is strongest when he runs against politics as usual and the D.C. Swamp. It increases his support with people who aren't conservatives, but just want good, functional government that works for them. By endorsing Swamp Creatures, he is weakening his hand, and that is without mentioning these people were idle when the biggest electoral fraud ever perpetrated on the American public was planned and then executed.
He is either our 45th president in his 2nd term, or he walked away from defending the constitution himself.
That is a fair criticism. Theoretically, Trump could still prevail in a writ of quo warranto. The mistake he made was not invoking the Insurrection Act to count the ballots in certain Congressional elections. Senate races in AZ, GA, and MI all could have been won, as well as few House seats. In that way, it wouldn't have been all about Trump, and the missing evidence of fraud in the presidential race would have been gathered as well. Yes, Trump did have an obligation to act, even though that massive amount of fraud never occurred before in so many states.
