Thanks for the ping-a-ling! Hope today wasn’t nuts at work! It looked mighty cold at the airport.

I’m a tomato soup too.
But not exactly an introvert any more but was when I was young.
Needed to take a speech class to graduate college. Dropped out of the class twice until I had to get it down.
Last time I gave a speech was in front of about 100+ people. No biggy. It concerned something I cared about and that makes a BIG difference.

1. Fry up some bacon and put it to one side.
2. Saute onion and celery in the bacon fat.
3. Wash lentils and add them, along with water or chicken stock. Crumble the bacon and add that too.
4. Cover, bring to a boil, and simmer for several hours.
Or, you can open a can of Progresso which is pretty decent.

Progresso is exactly what I’ve been trying to copy! It was my introduction to Lentil Soup.
So many recipes are all goofed-up with extraneous stuff.
Thanks!

Maybe I’ll give it a try sometime. I never thought I’d sympathize much with the nutty ship captain.

Grr, the main reason I signed-up for FB is to find old Army buddies, which I have, and to keep up with old HS friends I hadn't seen in years.
I should have stayed with just that, but discussing politics is my passion and sometimes it gets me in trouble, LOL.
Howz things your way?

The Patrick Stewart series was more true to the book, but I was raised on the Gregory Peck (1956) version, and so when I read the book, I see Gregory Peck as Ahab in my mind.
The part of Father Mapple was played by Gregory Peck in the Hallmark version, as an homage to the earlier movie.
The Mini series with William Hurt was even more true to the novel but I found it very boring.
Weird.
