Does anyone know how Wray, former law partner of Sally Yates in Atlanta, get on Trump’s shortlist? What person put Wray in the position to be selected by Trump?
Also, Trump’s biggest weakness throughout his tenure was his plentiful personnel failures. He had a tendency to surround himself with losers and back-stabbers, with Wray arguably being #1 on that list, that very long list.
In any event, I’m really curious who Wray’s champion was.

IMO if indeed that were the case, Trump should have just sent solid nominees and had a solid interim FBI director.
Instead I think the real story is that Trump’s pal and confidante Chris Christie pushed Wray—and convinced him that he’d be a loyal appointment.
