“so just go along for the ride”

Was in another forum a few days back and there was a vigorous discussion about whether there is any longer a ‘moral necessity’ to follow the law -or- has being ‘law abiding’ been replaced with ‘punishment averse’.
If those who work in the highest levels of the FBI can commit
felonies with zero consequence why should the general public be held to a higher standard?
The FBI no longer has any honor, there will be a cultural price to be paid for that breach of trust.

How many millions spent traveling all over the US and the world....with no report and no conclusion?

There should be a way to require Durham to return taxpayer money.

Actually we knew this was coming when we read that Barr spent his last several months preparing executive orders for Biden.

I am losing hope that we will ever make even a dent in DC corruption.

So he resigns just before Trump speaks at CPAC. Looks tactical.

I guess he got the message in the question posed: John, what do you think you will be doing in your next job. BTW, I had a question about your availability from Wilmer Cutler et al. You know John, the firm with Jamie Gorelick.

You could have posted a meaningful excerpt. He's not gone.

"John H. Durham will continue as special counsel in the investigation of the origins on the Trump-Russia inquiry, but is being asked to resign as U.S. Attorney, as the Biden administration begins replacing top federal prosecutors appointed by President Donald Trump with its own nominees."

It’s sickening to think that what you say is true.

I never thought I would see the day, where a great president was toppled via a coup.

I think Nixon was a good president also, but he was too stupid to navigate thru the MSM and others.

Trump batted 100% until everyone esp the Chris Christie’s, McConnells and the others did him in.

But, maybe in the end he’ll prevail.

IF trump runs and wins in 2024 can he serve two more terms?

This is OLD news.

https://www.courant.com/news/connecticut/hc-news-john-durham-resignation-20210209-20210209-b5fpaekr7ndtnnck2cvz7aer4m-story.html

This was known in early February....and I believe remains on to handle the Russiagate probe. The responses are typical Freeper over reactions.

If he is no longer a US Attorney does he lose his power to indict? Or did he never have that power?

In other words, investigate, investigate, investigate.....all BS unless you have either the power or the connections to make charges happen.
