Brian Kilmeade mentioned on his radio program this morning that there had been a private family funeral yesterday. I am so glad they were able to maintain the family's privacy! Then again, I was also glad that the family released the two pictures that are in this thread. Once again, the reality hits hard.

I know many of us, including me, are a mess of sobbing tears and snot right now. Despite his voice right there on the radio next to me, Rush is gone and it breaks my heart.
God please keep his grave safe and sacred, we know many will try to desecrate it.

Thank you, anyone who's listened to Rush for any length of time knows he's been a huge benefactor to the Marine Corps-Law Enforcement Foundation over the years.

I know he did a lot to support the troops and Rush was a national treasure of sorts, but a Marine? I could see some sort of an exception I guess.

Rush raised millions upon millions for the Marine Corps Law Enforcement Foundation, that helps the children of the fallen.

There HAS to be someone out there, someone that is not on our radar, that will be able to be the Next Rush.

Not happening.

They will continue to use Rush clips from the last 33 years intermingled with some scheduled rotating talking head{s} for about half of the show.

With the super editing that Rush's staff can do, this will be a winner for years to come.

The best of Rush, skillfully mixed with current events, is a great format for a radio time slot that already has millions of listeners that want to hear Rush's opinion on today's events.
