Brooklyn Nets point guard Kyrie Irving isn’t afraid to speak his mind. And like many others across the league, Irving wants to see change when it comes to the NBA logo. Los Angeles Lakers legend Jerry West has been the symbol of the league since 1969, but Irving believes that the league should do whatever it takes to make the late Kobe Bryant the new logo. "Gotta Happen," Irving wrote on his Instagram. "Idc what anyone says. BLACK KINGS BUILT THE LEAGUE."
Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban told TMZ Sports that he’s on board with changing the NBA logo to Bryant. He said that he "would support it."
"I just think it's so much more than basketball," Cuban told TMZ. "He brought so many people together."
Even though West is considered to be the NBA’s logo, the league never admitted that it featured a specific player. Sources familiar with the league told Yahoo Sports that there is no interest in having an individual player as its logo because there are so many who have been instrumental in the growth of the NBA.

Black people and other minorites shouldn’t be stereotyped and disrespected by using them as logos, on pancake syrup labels, on rice boxes, etc. /s
Jellyfish spine...
Racism and advocating black supremacy on full display.
Basaball is a Wite mans game , invented by a white man** and played inside white man designed buildings.
Black Kings did not build the league, they took their million dollar pay checks from the white man and then betrayed the hands that feed them.
I am not paying them any more. I am boycotting them.
Basketball is a white man’s game now played by a collective of spoiled, unAmerican ,black millionaire Uncle Toms.

The NBA was a minor sports league until the late 60's - up till then, you either rooted for the Celtics, or the "Washington Generals".
Which reminds me ...
Let's change the IDENTITY of public school to;
GOVERNMENT INDOCTRINATION CENTERS FOR THE CONQUEST OF THE U.S.A.
You’re a “king” because you can jump around and throw a ball through a hoop? And a white person who can do that isn’t a king, just a black person? WTF. Kobe Bryant is a racist.
Won’t work. Imagine they select Kobe as the new logo. His estate is still contracted to Nike I believe. That would give Nike claim to be the official shoe of the league. It would create much controversy and legal challenges I’d imagine.
What’s with the red, white and blue? The colors of both the Confederacy and the racist 1619 nation?
Make the logo green, red, and Black.
But the black kings are playing a white man’s game.
The “black kings” are also up in the rafters sitting up in the cheap seats while the whites and asians pay the freight with expensive court side seats.
How about “Go To Hell, NBA”
You guys is just a bunch of Black Kings who, if not playing basketball, would probably be in prison.
Wow, no kidding, between this and the National Anthem kerfuffle. I have never been a fan of his but what a dumbass.
The NHL ditched all of this because they wanted to market hockey to casual sports fans who have no appreciation for the game’s history and culture.
The NBA probably has the same challenge right now. It just doesn’t know it. I’ll bet most black NBA fans — and even most NBA players — have no idea who Bill Russell and Oscar Robertson were. They couldn’t tell you anything about Joe Dumars. In ten years they won’t even remember who Kobe Bryant was.
“I just think it’s so much more than basketball,” No, it’s still just a game.
“He brought so many people together.” Only to watch him play.
He didn't even have the decency to notify his head coach prior to his disappearing act.
BTW, the Nets happened to go 5-2 during his absence.
Idiots doing their damn best to utterly wreck a sport. Good luck to them cause I tuned these idiots out many years ago.......
Keep digging, the eventuality is they will be televising these NBA events at the local urban basketball park where it all began
