I own the movie, and every so often I haul it out and watch
it again.
I like it.
Tim Alan does a good job, and I can’t imagine Kevin Kline in
that roll.
Kathy Shadily will be missed. She well understood the style and verve of Steyn online. I wonder if she was hired and then adapted her skill to it, or was hired because of it. Either way well done, and we will see her on the other side.
“Sam Rockwell who played Guy, is one hell of a character actor. He played the insane guy, killer of two little girls, in The Green Mile.”
Also, 3 Billboards Outside Ebbing Missouri
Loved him in 7 Pyschopaths!
Have you seen him in, ‘Moon?’ We really enjoyed that. :)

That was a well done and thought provoking sci-fi movie. Pretty much a one-man performance.
Rd later.
Sam Rockwell’s one of my all time favorites because one has to look hard to tell that it’s him playing his character. A great gift!
GQ also lifted the comic premise of “Three Amigos” which was better! “Tropic Thunder” also did the same thing better.
Great movie. Very funny. Love it.
But the ribbon cutting scene was at an electronic store, noy grocery store.
“Miners, not Minors “
Well the comic twist part. But no Three Amigos isn’t better. Three Amigos is basically unwatchable. Oh that movie blows.
Understatement. She was proud of her new additions.
I liked it! Maybe it was the age I saw it. I do know it’s had something of a rehabilitation as a cult classic. I thought GL was just bland. This scene is funnier than anything in GL...

Just curious, do you feel the same way about “Spies Like Us”?
It’s too forced. They’re trying too hard and the timing crap. You can even see it that scene, the rhythm is bad, the jokes are flat, and they’re pushing too hard on the sell. I know a lot of folks see it as a classic, but it’s just not there. I do wonder if it didn’t have that “all star” cast if it would have been better. I think they created expectations and it just couldn’t handle.
Yeah, that was when Chevy Chase lost the narrative. He just started overcooking everything. Then everybody hated him.
Well they are playing the part of “celebrities” for the crowd. It’s supposed to have a cringey, glad handing, smarmy feel to it.
Problem is it plays the same joke over and over. The townsfolk think they’re gay and they think the townsfolk are impressed by their celebrity. And it just hits that note from slightly different angles, like “did you think that version of the joke was funny, well what about this version, how about this one, no, well you’ll love this version.” And none of the versions are funny.
No the townsfolk think they are hired killers! That was why they were so scared of them. At least tell me you think this was funny...
