The House is officially in therapy.
In the weeks after the Jan. 6 Capitol insurrection, which left at least five dead, lawmakers and their staff in the House of Representatives are seeking out mental health counseling.
Paul Tewksbury, director of the House Office of Employee Assistance, told lawmakers in a Thursday hearing that his office has provided 760 counseling sessions since the events of Jan 6 — something he called a “significant increase.”
Tewksbury said there had been around 3,000 contacts between his office and the Capitol Hill community in the first half of 2020.

“There’s a lot of stress and anger going on. … We’re validating feelings, whatever they are,” Rep. Gerald E. Connolly told the Capitol Hill newspaper. “Interestingly, the people I think who were struggling the most are the people who physically were not here.”

In times of universal deceit, telling the truth is a revolutionary act.
Just how long can they keep milking this? For some reason the riots and looting along with the Congressional baseball assassination effort got far less coverage with similar angst and anguish.
Has Heels-up offered to pay for any of those arrested at the Capitol?
I hope security is NOT improved. They should have seen it as a warning that the American people have lost respect for them and that anger is brewing inside the Americans they have abused in recent years. They do not need more security, they need to wake up and stop their arrogance.
This blatant election steal and coup was too far. They need to wake up. This a was the first brief rattle from a rattler you got to close to. They are going to get bitten if they don’t back off. Ironically like a rattler, normal Americans just want to be left alone.
No new security, they need a wake up call. Besides, you can’t stay in the green zone forever.

This whole January 6th mess is the worst kind of political theater: it wasn't an "insurrection" and for 99% of the people there, it's a stretch to call it a "riot". It was more like a large group of uninvited tourists who had a complaint to make.
To Congress: Grow up. If you can't face the people who elected you, we elected the wrong person.
A sure sign that everyone in DC needs to be removed. We can’t have that many psychologically fragile individuals running this country.
They didn’t say five dead. They said AT LEAST five dead. Don’t you know they are still searching for bodies in the wreckage?
