For heavens sake! Ted Cruz is not responsible for the idiotic green energy in Texas. So what he took his family out of the mess. He might not be my favorite pol, but to diss him for the green debacle is silly and mean.
He is supposed to show that his family can share the misery of his constituents.
If he was not a politician this is no big deal. But he is, and how things appear to folks is part of that job. I don’t really care where he is, but his political opponents will make heyday out of this. If he doesn’t care then that is okay too. His problem to deal with.
Unforced error. He should have known he couldn’t get away with something like this. Everybody has a camera and knows what he looks like.
It may be bad optics, but it isn’t something to resign over. Certainly no Democrat would.
Word is that he’s returning immediately. Guess someone on his staff finally pointed out the obvious.
