Dr. Anthony Fauci says there's new evidence that a COVID-19 vaccine may not just protect the people who get it but also shield others whom they come in contact with.
"There have been some studies that are pointing into a very favorable direction," Fauci, the director of the National Institute for Allergy and Infectious Diseases, said on Wednesday during a White House COVID-19 briefing.
While he said more conclusive research was still needed, the doctor pointed to two studies out this month.
Taken together, they are some of the earliest evidence we have that even if vaccinated people do get sick with COVID-19 - in what's called a "breakthrough" infection - the chances that they will then transmit their illness to others are far lower than if they had remained unvaccinated.
The No. 1 "looming question," Fauci said, is: "Does vaccine prevent transmission?"
These two studies are early signs pointing toward a "yes."

All the antivaxxers trumpeting that it does not prevent spread have sold their ideology that somehow this virus is different and will upend 100 years of immunological understanding. The EUA states that it could not be said that ir prevents spread and disease, but that it will prevent disease in 95% of patients and 100% prevention of severe disease and death.
Now that there is increasing data, it will show that disease transmission is blocked — exactly what a vaccine does. Induces Herd immunity. This must be a real conundrum for those who have staked their ideology on somehow a vaccine does not work.
Sure, ask the 20% of elderly who die of this disease — oh wait, it is 99.9% survivable. You clearly have no grasp of the facts.
And the half a million Americans who have died might also have a bone to pick with you, if of course the could actually speak.

You dont have to wear a mask. This is just their attempt to control. I am vaccinated (Pfizer) and over 60 days since fist injection. I no longer wear a mask. I still use PPE when treating the critically ill and dying from this virus who no longer have to die because we have vaccination.
Fauci and his ilk seem to believe that the fundamental nature of viruses has changed with COVID. I challenge him to name ANY virus (not a bacterium like Typhoid or TB) with a vaccine that keeps the taker well but allows him to be a spreader. It’s up to Fauci to prove that COVID is different from other viruses. He won’t be able to do this, but he is desperate to keep the fear going.
