The dolls were found at the Ministry Pensions Hospital site

A spooked walker has made a very unsettling discovery while exploring Cannock Chase.

The trekker, who is a theatre practitioner at Walsall Manor Hospital, uncovered an assortment of creepy baby dolls when she was walking over the Chase last Thursday (January 28).

The 64-year-old waded her way through the undergrowth and discovered a clearing where a number of trees stood with the dolls 'nailed' and 'tied' to them.

Speaking to Black Country Live, the mum-of-two said: "I've had to shield for all of the lockdown, but when I was on my walks I looked a bit further and as I dug through the undergrowth I saw these dolls.

"They were in some sort of order. Their dresses were all raggedy and they were all tied and nailed to the trees.

"And as I came out of the woods I saw a sign that said that this was the operating theatre for the old Pensions Hospital. It was just a little bit weird considering what I do for my job.

Lol. Barbies: When our oldest was young, we went through many many Barbies. Every Christmas and birthday were more Barbies. Being the outside the box girl she was (and still is!), she would tailor certain Barbies to fit in with whatever she was playing. A sharpie was used to draw stitches on one Barbie..that was FrankenBarbie. Hair was completely cut off another...that was Head Lice Barbie.

My favorite was when she got “Sleepover Barbie” for a birthday. This doll came dressed in pajamas and had eyes which would stay open or stay closed by applying with cold or warm water with a cloth to her eyes. Eventually, after hundreds of “sleepovers”, poor Barbie’s eyes wouldn’t open again. No matter... she dubbed her Dead Barbie and would drag her out for the occasional funeral, attended by a grieving Ken and a few friends :)

Haven’t thought of that in a while. Good times. 😀

One of my daughter’s did the same things with Barbies. She would never give up on a Barbie either, none were ever thrown away. When she left home to go to college I found she had a dresser drawer full of Barbie parts; heads, legs, arms...

It is not just in this area. My son said that there are dolls all around northern Alabama.
