Raskin: Trump Second Impeachment a ‘Dramatic Success in Historical Terms’
breitbart ^ | 14 Feb 2021 | PAM KEY

Lead House impeachment manager Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-MD) Sunday on NBC’s “Meet the Press” called former President Donald Trump’s impeachment trial a “dramatic success in historical terms.”

Anchor Chuck Todd said, “So do you feel like this was a success? Or do you feel like because you failed to convict that you can’t look at it any other way than a failure?”

Raskin said, “I think it was a dramatic success in historical terms. It was the largest impeachment conviction vote in U.S. history. It was by far the most bipartisan majority that’s ever assembled in the Senate to convict a president, which has traditionally been a kind of partisan thing in American history. We got seven Republicans, and if you look at the ten Republicans in the House who joined us, it was by far the most bipartisan decision and a complete repudiation of the president’s conduct. Now, unfortunately, it didn’t reach the two-thirds majority in the Senate.”

And Nancy Pelosi will go down in History as the ONLY Speaker to lose TWO Impeachments!

What a maroon.

Typical Leftist. They not only fail at what they tried to do, wasted huge amounts of money and time doing it, and instead of facing up to abject failure...

Simply redefine success.

It is what they do.

Granted, to scumbags like the Left, the process IS the punishment, so in that, I am sure the feel a measure of success.

It was indeed a dramatic success. For Trump.

No other president has been so falsely accused and impeached for petty partisan political reasons, yet win acquittals both times.

Jamie, instead of pursuing this nonsense perhaps you should be spending more time with your surviving kids.

If the Media was truly unbiased, they would expose the cooked, sliced and diced so called Evidence presented by the DEMONcRATS to show it was all a bunch of BS and expose them for the lying Vermin they are.

My apologies to Vermin for comparing them to DEMONcRATS.

Apparently he didn’t understand that Chuck Todd was calling him a failure. This is very rare for Chuck to treat someone this way, unless they are Trump supporters.

There is some truth to this unfortunately, unless, or until, the Democrats are tried and jailed, for their numerous crimes.

But who knows if that will ever happen? Dems get away with EVERYTHING, ALWAYS.

🙄

Historic lies told, historic tampering with evidence, and historic made up evidence. The first time (that we know) where a Chinese operative was on the Manager’s team. Yup, historic alright.

History will say more about the runaway radical left of this time and their unjustified use of impeachment as a political tool than the object of their ire, President Trump.

Yeah, and when he runs out of gas on the highway, he always
refers to it as a dramatic success.

“It was the largest impeachment conviction vote in U.S. history.”

They just can’t help but lie and play word games.

Andrew Johnson Impeachment: 35-19 to convict - only 1 vote shy of the required 2/3rd or 1.8% of the Senate.

Trump Impeachment II: 55-45 to convict - 11 votes shy of the required 2/3rd or 11% of the Senate.

[[It was by far the most bipartisan majority that’s ever assembled in the Senate to convict a president,]]

Ahem, wasn’t clinton’s impeachment nearly unanimous on both sides?
