I agree. That's why I posted the real story. Nancy Green was a tremendous sales person, and they built the brand around her presentations. She was born a slave in 1834 and after obtaining her freedom was a leader in her church, and in business in Chicago.
Some aspects of the story as told by ABC are disputed (Green may not have actually made up the recipe, but her sales skills and efforts are not in doubt) but here is more detail about a very talented woman.

Ms. Green worked very hard to promote the Aunt Jemima brand. Sadly the company that inherited the success she built can't even be bothered to tell her story.
Apparently, the bad thing is that Aunt Jemima was a successful businesswoman, rather than a useless welfare queen who keeps pumping out kids.
We can't show that blacks (especially black women) can be successful members of society. That's just intolerable.
