The Senate voted Tuesday to move ahead with the unprecedented impeachment trial of former President Trump after listening to hours of arguments on whether it is constitutional to try a president who is already out of office.
The vote was 56-44.
Trump's legal team said the trial is unconstitutional because he's no longer in office and can't face removal, which is the standard judgment of an impeachment conviction.

President Trump was not acquitted on the first impeachment since the trial never took place. It’s more like the trial was cancelled and the charges dropped.
They will schedule a vote and then a crowd of Antifa/BLM protestors will prevent 25 Republican Senators from entering the Senate chamber at which point 50 Democrat votes will be sufficient to convict.

I think I can resolve a HUGE miscommunication going on in America right now. All summer long the left burned down gov’t buildings and property, killed people, and looted businesses while the democrats called that a peaceful protest. So when President Trump called on his supporters to Peacefully Protest to the Capitol building the left thinks he called on them to Burn it down and kill the people inside. It all depends on what the word peaceful means.
