Fox News has canceled “Lou Dobbs Tonight,” the program hosted by television’s staunchest supporter of Donald Trump and of his assertions of voter fraud in the 2020 election, The Times has learned.
Dobbs’ program, which airs twice nightly at 5 and 7 p.m. Eastern on the Fox Business Network, will have its final airing Friday, according to a Fox News representative who confirmed the cancellation. Starting next week, the program will be called “Fox Business Tonight,” with rotating substitute hosts Jackie DeAngelis and David Asman, who filled in for Dobbs on Friday.

RE: Wow!! The purge continues.
Yes, but in the wrong direction. If Fox thinks this will help ratings, they’re badly mistaken.
Get lost, never Trumper.
Can Stuart Varney be far behind?
I think that the objective is to get rid of Fox completely.
BTW, WHERE DID ALL THE SOLYNDRA MONEY GO?
Dobbs rapidly became a poor journalist lacking all objectivity, and his support for the stolen election hoax will drive him into bankruptcy.
Ultimately, Fox is to blame for not safeguarding journalistic integrity.
Then again, what do you expect? When Carlson got sued for defamation, his defense was “no reasonable person takes my statements as truth.”
No joke! That was his defense. And he prevailed! The court found that Carlson’s show is just empty talk.
The sad part is, Fox got us where we are now, and Newsmax and OANN will now take over and make things even worse.
We used to think that about Bill O'Reilly, too. Once out of work the top names seem to fall quickly. O'Reilly seemed thankful to get a phoned in radio show segment on Glenn Beck when he lost his Fox job.
From ratings king in all the TV news record books to trying to get by on something like a 21 million dollar negotiated Fox separation payout. At least he didn't have to sell magazine subscriptions door to door. I did see him eyeing some returnable cans in a vacant lot once, though.
We are Soviet...
Dobbs is 75 years old and Worth at least $16 million. He might want to slow down for a change or move to a more open, courageous network like OANN.
I have only seen Mark Levin since the election.
I wonder if Maria is next?
Wondered why one guy was blurred out in digitally altered group shots of smiling Fox News personalities. It was Dobbs./s
Baier to Dobbs as Dobbs goes by in the hall carrying a cardboard box of his family photos and other personal effects on the way to the back parking lot exit door: "Lou, I told you to start putting in some zingers against Trump. Front office eats that stuff up. It worked for me."
BIG mistake.
Ratings dont matter, if you don't have advertisers other than MyPillow willing to buy slots.
The real, unmentioned, story my be a behind-the-scenes effort to stop companies from advertising on politically incorrect shows.
This video is allegedly a Yugoslavian woman explaining the steps that were taken to destroy her nation and throw it into bloody civil war - same steps she sees unfolding in USA today. She addresses this phenomenon that all the news channels were taken over and that their goal was to sow hatred between rival groups that previously got along. Time 14:21
Maria Bartiromo will be the next one to get the axe. Then Tucker.
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
yup I’m afraid you’re right
Guess Lou & maria won’t submit to re-programming
I like Maria. Tucker is a big phony. I would be shocked if they ditched him.
Trump, or Don jr., should start his own network and bring all these conservative guys along with him. Of course, he’d have to have the FCC’s permission. Does it still have a conservative majority?
This is how you KNOW the election was stolen. No reason to fight this hard to silence people if it were just some loony theory.
Actually, I am a big supporter of Trump’s policies. And, I am not going anywhere.
Where you and I disagree is the the lack of proof that shows the election was stolen by fraud. Dobbs should never have gone where he went on his show. Now he and a bunch of other folks are getting sued for it and there is a real risk they all could lose a substantial sum of money.
