WASHINGTON (AP) — House Republicans voted overwhelmingly Wednesday to retain Rep. Liz Cheney as their No. 3 leader, rebuffing a rebellion by hard-right conservatives angry after she voted last month to impeach then-President Donald Trump.
The secret 145-61 vote came the same day that Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy ridiculed Democrats for slating a House vote Thursday on removing Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia from her committees. McCarthy’s comment was a signal that he was dismissing bipartisan demands that Greene be punished for her promotion online and embrace of racist and violent views and bizarre conspiracy theories.

People have no idea how difficult it would be to start a new Party.

Anyway, big donors will always be needed by any Party.
Only an extraordinary candidate like Trump could succeed without them.
And we can’t get that many extraordinary candidates!
I wonder if some GOPE told the DemE they will vote to keep Cheney if they don’t kick off Greene on all committee seats.
It would be a deal brokered by the establishment.
I would rather Cheney be gone and lose Greene on committees and it would be better for the GOP. I don’t think the establishment agrees. it would be better for them what I think is going to happen.
Problem is the party will NEVER let a primary candidate win, NEVER we have to take the seat with a NEW party!! How in the hell do you think these bastard RINOS are there for DECADES because we vote the lesser of two evils YET they are the uni party there is NO DIFFERENCE!!!

Well, it WILL be a Dem decision (unless the votes are very different than I expect!).
Kevin has no control over this, though he can demand Rs vote against her removal the Dems have the votes to remove her. Unless many Dems stand against Pelosi for truth- LOL! at that thought.
