Key parts

He's not president and the Senate has no authority.

Since the House presented one article with multiple charges it is unconstitutional and was constructed with the explicit purpose to get a 2/3 vote by the senate as each senator could vote yes in some part of the article.

They handed up the impeachment article after he left office so it is invalid

Chief justice is not presiding so this is DOA and Trump is a private citizen - Senate has no jursidiction.

Schoen and Pastor accurately and clearly pointed out all the grotesque un-Constitutional flaws in the absurdity of the ex post facto “impeachment” of a private citizen.

Trump should be the President. The vote in the Senate was flawed, and as they said, did not take into account the fatal errors in the State certificates. But they voted and Roberts swore in the Imposter.

That now has to be reversed by an examination of the evidence. This is the forum to do it.

Also, in impeaching an private citizen that holds no office the Congress in effect has created a special class of citizen and denied Trump his first amendment rights.

My overall read of the document says it is powerful and compelling.

You know who I think will be persuaded? Susan Collins.

She represents her state. No other Republican could have held that seat for so long. But she voted for Kavanaugh and won anyway. Now she has 6 more years and probably will retire at its end.

Her Kavanaugh speech was very powerful and likely swayed a few GOP votes. She evaluated it in a pure way. She will do the same with this document.

I think she’ll vote that the matter is moot. He is no longer president and removal is the only remedy provided. That remedy is not possible so the matter will be rejected. I bet she can move one of the 5 GOP senators who voted to proceed to trial. Her speeches are that good.

The appropriate answer would have been G.F.Y. or go fornicate with yourself.

Trump certainly is in a class by himself.

There won’t be a trial.

Schumer doesn’t want one...in spite of his public pronouncements. Those pronouncements are all show.

Pelosi dropped a hot potato in his lap...in a fit of passion...and now he’s left holding the bag.

And looking for a way out.

And some stupid Republican is going to give him one with a Censure/14th Amendment bill.

He isn’t the President. Constitutionally, his term ended on January 20 at noon. He wasn’t re-sworn in. As such, there is no legal President since the usurper attained his position by fraud. If the military is acting in the background somehow as is alleged, then there is still no President. Constitutional crisis caused by nefarious Dems and spineless corrupt Republicans.

See post 22.

If President Trump took the approach that he is in fact still President, then this sham impeachment process would be the only way to bring forth his legal points that no other court would even listen to.

Of course the end result would still be the same. But Trump had a chance to prove election fraud, but he chose not to.

So, does this case now apply to the President who was in office at the time of the filing?

It doesn't matter how blatantly unconstitutional these proceedings are or who utterly false the accusation is. The party of Saul Alinsky knows that the rules don't apply to them.

Thoughtful Americans should realize that the fact that Roberts refuses to preside over this sham is very, very noteworthy indeed.

"he deserves to have his case heard before the Chief Justice."

This part is absolutely true. Supreme Court Chief Justice Morrison Waite did indeed tribune Sec'y of War Belknap's extra-constitutional Senate trial, and so Chief Justice John Quisling Roberts is evermore the coward when faced with American history.

Pelosi is the one who should be investigated for politicizing impeachment. Republicans are scared of her. They are pathetic the way they have let her demean the speakership and the entire congress. She made a mockery out of the capitol she claims is sacred. She should have been ousted after ripping Trump’s SOTU speech behind his back as pence stood there like a statue.

IMHO..the Senate WILL vote to convict

The Deep State can’t afford not to...and its why they have Capitol Hill surrounded in troops and barricades

Hmm, I like most of it but I disagree with the summary.

This is my non lawyer opinion.

The senate does not have jurisdiction because a private citizen can't be impeached. There is no need to respectfully request anything. Asking to dismiss is giving legitimacy to the charges. Illegal charges do not need to be dismissed. They should demand this illegal impeachment be stopped. Donald Trump has not been legally charged with any crime and this matter should be considered closed.

President Trump in my opinion, if he has any desire, should publicly announce before this sham trial that is is formally running for President in 2024 and his campaign starts today. That will shut them up quick.

I learned something new here. The Senate rules dont allow multiple arguments in one article. Otherwise, I am not a lawyer, and I knew all of these other defenses applied. The Dims are steamrolling anyway.
