They will become GOVERNMENT MOTOR COMPANY by default
I like combustion
But I can smell the coffee once batteries get up to snuff
And that’s not a reality yet
I drove 150-200 miles a day
It won’t work for me...
And there are other issues
Off road applications which this deer season mattered to me given it was wet and snowed some
Electric power to wheels feels too slick....or is that just me
One thing though is electric is fast.....
“This takes build it and they will come to a kind of ridiculous extreme”
But that’s exactly what is happening, world wide, this isn’t organic growth; it being forced by all the govt regulators around the world.
Put in the kind of taxes On ‘ice’ cars that Norway has, and boom, 70% compliance already.
These morons can not understand that electric vehicles will not save the planet.
All they’re doing is pushing the evil “carbon emissions” off onto power plants that will now have to run at 100% capacity 24/7/365 providing IF there is even enough generating capacity.
We have shut down more power plants in this country over the past 20 to 30 years than what has been built.
....and are we going to buy coal “exclusively” from China?
Chevy is GM.
GM death wish.
Bet that they wont be doing it. Not when the other carmakers keep making gasoline and diesel powered vehicles.
BTW, I haven’t bought any GM vehicles since the Obama remake of the company. I’ve bought Ford mostly. In the market now for a new vehicle, but it won’t be a GM brand.
2035 is not that far off, and people shopping for cars and trucks should all be aware of where GM is going and avoid purchasing any GM vehicles between NOW and 2035, since they won’t be supported after 2035. What’s GM going to do between 2030 and 2035 when people will be aware of the transition and GM won’t be maintaining their brands?
I just want the power and acceleration. The new Tesla Plaid+ will be 0-60 under 2.9 seconds and 510 mile range. You’d need a $1m+ supercar to match that power. Tesla still has a way to go on price, but at $133k it’s a lot better than $1m.
Will not buy.
Fortunately electricity is free and cheaply available.
Oops—that was an alternate reality.
In this reality we are f&^%ed.
Why would you ever buy GM?
If you want a well made car, look for those three little words “Made in Japan” So if youre like me and my hubby and you got a lot of kids, get a Toyota Sienna. If its just for you, get a Corolla or a Civic.
But if you like fixing electrical problems, replacing main bearings, stuff like that, GM is quite good but they say Chrysler is tops.

Fortunately AOC has a plan to shut down all those dirty coal fired power plants and get them to build plants that run on electricity.
Is that when Biden plans to outlaw gasoline?
Pretty sure the Biden family is already planning on importing VW sized China automobiles and making the American carmaker workers obsolete...they will have to learn to code or or make wind mills or something...
What if you don’t want one?
The public isn’t the intended market.
GM has that sewn up.
BiteMe/Deep State is transitioning the federal fleet to electric.

Electric motors are great. Flat power curve, tons of torque at all RPM’s, everything you could want.
Of course, the battery problem is much more than 15 years away from being close to solved, but that’s not the point.
The point is to drive up the cost of privately owned vehicles, and push everyone into public transit. Of course, that means that anyone left in more rural areas will need to be jammed into cities as well.
All the easier to control the population.
