The 75 million Trump supporters are now repudiating him and the democrats no it. Not having a real constituency in DC is a horrible place to be because you have no actual power.
Trump has never been incarcerated in 74 years. Bush and Cheney did more “jail time” with their youthful DUI episodes.
I’ll bet anybody on Free Republic, that Trump isn’t going to prison for even one second. If they did, they turn him into a persecuted martyr.You can’t throw people in prison just because you hate them, there has to be a actual crime.
No American President has ever went to prison, and we’ve been electing them since 1788.
The Democrats will file some lawsuits to keep their base fired up. Those lawsuits will end up with a wrist slap or fines, but nothing “big” like the Trump haters are expecting.

You are assuming the judicial system is not as corrupt as the rest of DC. Imagine a trial in DC or NYC and you can convict him on anything.

One thing that struck me earlier in the week, is that
Mitch seemed a tad little too concerned over the pardon
of Assange.

You’re correct about corrupt judicial courts in D.C. and NYC. If anything went to trial, Trump would be convicted regardless of the facts.
My position is they won’t ever see a courtroom, except for small ticky tack campaign type stuff. I may be wrong, but I think this impeachment farce, will not turn out well for the boneheads running The House of Representatives.
We’ll see, 2021 is going to be very interesting year.
