Democrat Demands for Direct Checks Increase: ‘Let’s Send Out $2k Monthly Checks’

Democrat Rep. Ro Khanna (D-CA) joined far-left members of the “Squad” in demanding $2,000 direct checks for the American people, but took the request a step further, calling for the checks to be “monthly.”

“We cannot afford to wait any longer. Let’s send out $2k monthly checks,” Khanna said Tuesday as Democrats continue to clamor over President-elect Joe Biden’s $1.9 trillion spending plan, which includes $1,400 checks rather than $2,000:

I guess you don't understand inflation and what printing loads of money and handing it out in monthly checks will do to the economy; perhaps you should read some history about the Weimar republic and what happened to super inflation there. More to the point and recent, Zimbabwe.

Secondly these are not tax rebates but money the government is sending due to legislation.

If you don't think that flooding the economy with tons of money won't increase inflation like in the two countries I just mentioned, you're in for a huge surprise.

You receive $13 in government services for $7 in taxes you paid.

If my tax logic is correct, there are not nearly enough tax-payers to satisfy this expense, even if you cut the defense budget to the bone.

The Budget deficit last year was already >100% of tax revenue. That’s just the deficit - not the total budget!

This year will likely be the same.

According to the Federal Reserve, Government debt / GDP is already at 127%. We are approaching the historical high of WWII. The Federal Reserve and Fed.gov are trapped with low interest rates. Any serious rise will simply increase the debt bill by geometric proportions.

But that occurred when the USA was 40% of total world GDP and the only world superpower. The USA is now about 20% of world GDP.

The ONLY way out of this debt is through massive inflation and massive devaluation of the dollar. We now have leftist ideologues in charge who WILL make it happen. We are one major political crisis or war from going from just “inflation” to very bad or hyper-inflation.

Was just looking at my books for tax season. YAY. I stupidly saved money for my business and have been wiped out thanks to our democrat gov. I am down to about 100k. Stupidly I saved it and didnt just blow it on shoes and fancy watches. I was hoping for a little piece of land but Californians invaded since they dont have to work there anymore. I’m putting it all in to gold by the end of the week. Hard work and saving IS FOR CHUMPS. Anyone wanna buy an established machine shop ?
