Joe Biden's goal of seeing 100 million doses of coronavirus vaccine injected within his first 100 days in office is "absolutely" achievable, top US scientist Anthony Fauci said Sunday, days before he is to become the new president's chief advisor on Covid-19.

"The feasibility of his goal is absolutely clear, there’s no doubt about it," Fauci, the best-known face of the government's fight against the deadly virus, told NBC's "Meet the Press."

"That can be done," said Fauci, an infectious disease specialist who also has advised President Donald Trump.

The distribution is really testing after emergency use authorization. They are testing on the general population.

Btw can you get EUA if there is an approved therapy?

No.

Hydroxy, Ivermectin could not be an approved therapy and the vaccine be authorized under EUA.

Make sense now?

Operation war speed gave pharmaceutical companies money to expedite vaccine development and scale up production. Pfizer is in the process of doing that so they can produce 2 billion does this year

Biden will try to take credit for that and the media the stupid party will let him get away with it

Actually, we are already doing a million vaccines a day now. We should be getting up to 2 million a day sometime in the next 100 days, assuming the manufacturing can keep up.

The idea that he can bring more manufacturing online is hilarious. There is a reason they can’t do more, and it’s not capacity at their plant, but the complexity, and the raw materials.

But we should have a 3rd vaccine in the next month or so, and that one should be able to contribute another 40 million doses in 100 days. And that one is a 1-dose shot.

States should have simply taken all the vaccines to nursing homes, and vaccinated everybody there, and then set up a sign-up for everybody over the age of 75. Easy to do, protects the people most likely to die.

But there are not enough minorities over 75, so they had to come up with other plans. Plans that they target minorities, even knowing it means we will throw out doses, because it’s not about saving lives, it is about political power.

“The states have been slow to roll it out.”

And some dosing has been sent elsewhere for reasons unknown.

In Washington State, where I live, population is 7,656,200. Currently they have administered 4% of the need with front line health staff being first, estimated at half a million people. That means that 306,248 first receivers have been inoculated or just around 61% of those. And now it is determined that the state is going to be getting 40% less vaccine and Moderna has had problems with allergic reactions from injections they are investigating in California they are saying from a specific batch.

And they’re going to get how many done in a year, two, three....? AT 4% every month as the vaccine was started in the third week of December, simple math says they will be able to complete 100% of the state in a little over 2 years with Washington State’s population if they find nothing seriously wrong with the vaccines during that time (like in California) and/or don’t run out, or have parts of their supply shanghaied for greater population states.

It’s Fauci’s idea......that’s why it can be done.

No issue with most of what you said, but I want to clarify "if they find nothing seriously wrong with the vaccines during that time (like in California)"

California didn't find anything wrong. 6 healthcare workers at one facility showed apparent allergic reactions to one specific lot of Moderna's vaccine. The state then said that "out of an extreme abundance of caution", doses from that one specific lot should be held until an investigation is complete to ensure that one particular lot has nothing wrong with it. Based on 6 people having an allergic reaction.

This is California being California; not some major issue with any vaccine. Over 42 million doses have been distributed worldwide including over 14 million in the US alone. The Infection Fatality Rate of COVID-19 is 0.65%. If you gave COVID-19 to 14.3 million Americans, 92,950 would die. As of January 6th, CDC recorded 21 serious reactions out of 1,893,360 doses given. That's 0.001% or 1 in 90,160. All 21 people were treated and released. They're alive and well.

Your chances of getting struck by lighting are 1 in 15,300. Nearly 6 times more likely than you getting a serious reaction from the COVID-19 vaccines available today.

“Your chances of getting struck by lighting are 1 in 15,300. Nearly 6 times more likely than you getting a serious reaction from the COVID-19 vaccines available today.”

We’re not hearing about all of it. For instance, there have been reports of Bell’s palsy. The connection still remains unclear, but since Bell’s palsy and Guillain-Barré syndrome are thought to be caused by viral infections, it may be possible it could be caused by the coronavirus, the virus that causes COVID-19. More study is needed. Some of the testing found that the simulation of the virus introduced by the vaccine injection was displaying cases of Bell’s Palsy and Guillain-Barré syndrome.

Britain has reported several cases of anaphylaxis among people who have received the Pfizer vaccine. In the U.S., cases have been reported since the vaccine rollout began earlier this month, according to the CDC. A three-year review of adverse reports logged into a U.S. national vaccine database found that anaphylaxis after vaccination is rare. They required the use of epinephrine. There were reports of female sterilization that Pfizer refuses to discuss.

We don’t know about all the side effects because they are still coming in and the companies don’t have an answer. Remember, this vaccine was created, kinda tested, and put into the market at warp speed without the expected years of testing. They are doing that testing now using the thought it is better two get the vaccine than get the virus. Each one has its own problems.
