Parler's website suddenly reappeared online Sunday afternoon with a message from its CEO, John Matze: 'Hello world, is this thing on?'
The message, dated January 16, implies that the social network popular with members of the far right has found a new online hosting platform, after Parler was booted from Amazon Web Services on January 10 in the wake of the Capitol siege.
Parler now appears to be hosted by Epik, according to a WHOIS search. Epik is a hosting platform that supports Gab, 8chan and other services often used by members of the far-right.
Prior to hosting Parler, Epik issued a lengthy statement blasting what it said was a 'kneejerk reaction' by major companies of 'simply deplatforming and terminating any relationship that on the surface looks problematic or controversial.'
A temporary status update on parler.com also appeared beneath Matze's message.
'Now seems like the right time to remind you all — both lovers and haters — why we started this platform,' the status update said. 'We believe privacy is paramount and free speech essential, especially on social media. Our aim has always been to provide a nonpartisan public square where individuals can enjoy and exercise their rights to both. We will resolve any challenge before us and plan to welcome all of you back soon. We will not let civil discourse perish!'

Anybody know where Trump is? He used to post on Facebook and I don’t think he was kicked off but haven’t heard from him since the Capitol rally and events.
I presume you don't know how to read a time stamp or a calendar. The post was made only shortly after the Parler post became live -- negating your imaginary idea that Parler's news of their brief appearance happened over "the past week"...
Parler's post went live Sunday afternoon (that was yesterday for the calendar-challenged), and this thread became active shortly after at 4:53 PST (1:53 EST for those clock-challenged).
And by the way, there was only two other posts on Sunday about this, and that went live about two minutes after mine (which was removed shortly after as a duplicate), and the other went live two hours after mine.

When I saw his Jan 6 speech, he was as fiery and resolute as I've ever seen him. He made it clear that he won the election and that he will never concede.
Twitter might have shut down his account but come on, there are many other ways besides Twitter to reach the American people in an unfiltered way. Anything he posts (or has posted on his behalf) on any social media platform will be almost instantaneously blasted out to tens of millions of people across all platforms. Within an hour, over 100 million people will have received the message in some form or another.
There are only two reasons this silence could be. One reason is that he does have something spectacular in the works and is simply waiting quietly for the proper moment to spring into action. Or he has thrown in the towel and is only going through the motions in his final days in order to protect himself and his family.
I'm leaning against the latter because it is just not Trump's style. Why would he have gone through the past 5 years only to meekly go back to Mar-A-Lago and leave us to the usurper Biden and Democrats who clearly stole this election? That would demoralize many of his 80 million plus supporters. And he has to know that even if he leaves quietly, the Deep State are going to come after him with all they've got to utterly destroy him (and many of his supporters as well).
I feel we are at a very grave moment in our history. We only have 48 hours to have it play out, one way or the other.
You act like there are any options. Trump’s done, he’ll be lucky to not be ruined by the democrats in the next few years. Denial is powerful thing, especially when involved in grief. The fact is it’s going to get so insanely bad starting in a few days it’ll be quite something else.
I went to his website (President Donald Trump or something like that) and what I saw was a pretty depressing image of him leaving and I was hit with a great sense of self pity.
I don’t think Trump is used to losing. Maybe he needs to get over this first.

Saw the article the day Twitter suspended the President’s account. Down the memory hole, now. Might have been a gab post by gab CEO. Too far down the list to show up in mobile results from duckduckgo, and I’m entirely unsurprised da goog shows no hits.
I haven’t been able to get on gab today.
I know that his tweets are on gab, but I’ve never seen nor heard anything of Parler doing the same. I’m not sure of how they could have done that, since they’ve been mostly down since then.

The app goes to a NETWORK ERROR on my iPhone, but the website in my browsers goes to a Hello World message.
Gab announced yesterday they will be offline Monday starting at noon for about an hour or more while they update and install new hardware. They are back up now.
When you use the Parler app you just get network error. To see the message you have to put in the address.
