Sen. Lindsey Graham said if the Senate doesn't dismiss the impeachment article against President Trump, national healing could be delayed "indefinitely."
The South Carolina Republican urged Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, who will soon become the majority leader, that a Senate trial for Trump's second impeachment would be an "unconstitutional act of political vengeance."
"In your first act as Majority Leader, rather than begin the national healing that the country so desperately yearns for, you seek vengeance and political retaliation instead," Graham wrote in a letter sent Sunday.
Graham added that the impeachment of a president no longer in office will potentially leave the country eternally divided.
"We will be delaying indefinitely, if not forever, the healing of this great nation," he said.
Other allies of Trump have echoed Graham's calls that the second impeachment is "unconstitutional."
Famed lawyer Alan Dershowitz, who represented Trump in his first impeachment trial, told Fox News host Maria Bartiromo on Sunday that there's precedent to suggest a president shouldn't be impeached once they leave office.
The Harvard Law professor cited there was no effort to impeach President Richard Nixon once he left office and a failed effort to remove the secretary of war in 1876. He claimed there is no jurisdiction to put Trump as a private citizen on trial.

The Rats are trying to deny us the right to vote for whomever we want to.
Some folks sill be blinded by what they have been led to
believe to this point. You know the type, hard to breath

Things have a way of working their way toward the surface.
The Communists will become too complacent. They’ll start
bragging about what they did.
If not that, something else will happen.
Watch them suddenly find laws that need to be enacted to

For what little it’s worth I emailed Maria after that segment to tell her that her Sunday AM show is the last Fox program we watch, and that putting Graham on air was an insult to 80M MAGA voters.

Graham’s argument doesn’t make any sense.
The voters aren’t going to “change their split” based on whether or not the Senate conducts a trial.
Graham is trying to deny a hearing to Trump’s arguments.
After all, "we are little less Chinese than the Rats, you gullible rubes."
Right. That's synonymous with "national healing" under the meaning that Congress assigns. Also known as "reaching across the aisle," "doing the work we were sent here to do," and so on.

Impeach is a lost cause for decades at best.
Resist yes - its all we can do.
There will be no “healing” until every last Democrat and RINO is dead.
Since the communists list Lindsay think accepting communism is ‘healing’, I’d rather stay divided.
Unless the right decides to just bow down and accept a boot on their neck there is no path to healing that doesn't end with one side or the other destroyed. And that will be an ugly process that plays out for years to come.
It will definitely make it worse but there is no healing.
The House of Peace is where everyone is either a muslim or muslim convert completely under the thumb of Islam in Islamic lands, and those who aren't, pay a tax for the privilege of being allowed to live among muslims as second class citizens.
The House of War is everyone and everywhere else.
Unsurprisingly, that describes Leftists exactly.
They describe their Leftist House of Peace (To them, an environment of "unity") as a place where everyone is completely on board or converted to the Leftist agenda and dogma, and who pays their taxes to live as second class citizens as long as they shut up and pay.
In this they are worse than Islam (who might not object if you mouth the belief in Islam but really don't believe it in your head) because like Winston in Orwell's '1984', even thinking differently is not allowed. You have to both appear to believe it and agree in your head with their religion, otherwise, your thought is classified as CrimeThink which is a horrible to them as saying it aloud.
Everyone who doesn't believe the dogma of Leftism both externally in their actions and embraces it inside their heads is in their Leftist House of War.
And right now, that is any Conservative.
I get pissed off when the flag is flown at half mast for every Tom, Dick, and Harry for two main reasons: First, if they aren't a President they are almost always a Leftist favorite or someone being used as a tool by the Left. Second, we have had thousands of far better men who have died who aren't extended that privilege...nor should they be.
This constant flying of the flag a half mast for everyone and everything mocks the meaning, dilutes the meaning, and keeps our country in a perpetual state of frightened victimhood.
