The guard is deployed to help out with many situations. We had them locally to help with COVID testing as well al humanitarian offers after disasters.

It is my understanding that the feds only have jurisdiction over the national guard, in a state, is when the state invited the National guard. Otherwise, its jurisdiction falls to the state.
Biden can’t just send in the national guard because he wants to.
