It’s subtle and fast if the nurse is experienced. It takes two hands - weak hand stabilizes syringe cylinder, dominant hand just ever so slightly retracts plunger to make sure no blood, then push it in.

It’s possible they have some new kind of syringe & needle? I don’t know. But I do suspect that most of these televised shots are fake with a retracting non-needle like they use in movies/TV, or these are saline injections. The public peons are the lab rats, not the important people.
