This is breaking news. Please check back for updates.

They are not defeated, they are moving away from gun control heaven of New York to a friendlier political climate in Texas. This operation was in progress before slow joe made his comments.
No apologies needed, bro. I knew what you meant and felt certain from your post that you knew the NRA was headquartered there. Just didn't want some of the younger "whipper snappers" to be confused. Or, would that be "FReeper Snappers?"
Along with unloading their debt, they need to unload LaPierre.
Dittos
Geez get that $1000 a suite A-hole out of there. This is happening now?
I used to be quite religious about paying annual NRA dues. What stopped me was as soon as I paid my annual dues, I’d get another letter begging me to pay my annual dues. I called them and asked them to stop it, that I had been a paying member for years. The next month I got another standard form letter begging me to sign up for another year. So I said screw them and never signed up again.
However now after they move, I might reconsider, just throw their mail away and not get frustrated over it.
I’m a life member, so they don’t bug me for dues, but they keep wanting me to give them more money to get some higher level of membership.
You're GD right. 50 year member here.
The NRA and Planned Parenthood are two faces on the same coin.
The both exist to keep their power and have people throw $$$ at them.
Kind of like:
GOP
DNC
Scientology
Mormon
Jehova Witness

FReepmail me if you want to be added to or deleted from the list.

Will they clean up management, as in fire everyone? What happens to the assets?
As a Texan, why do I feel the same uneasy feeling about the NRA moving here as I do regarding the flood of Californians tripping over each other to be in the People’s Republic of Texas?
They submitted willingly to tye bump stock ban. I cancelled my membership. They are not 2A.
When I was younger and more naive I became a Life Member of the NRA. They sent me notice of a local gathering of the members. I went, thinking it would be a learning experience. It turned out to be a multi-pronged effort at getting my cash. I didn’t go back and throw all their mail in the trash.
The best part of lifetime membership for me is a lifetime subscription to the monthly American Rifleman magazine.
400K NRA members in Texas. NRA will be more than welcome in Texas.
Wayne L paid back $300K in “over charges” to NRA. Also, NRA is after Chris Cox.Former legal counsel. Claims he owes NRA $1 million in overcharges. Also after Ollie North. Claiming he owes $$ to NRA. Both are fighting this.
Keep in mind it was SDNY that sued We Build the Wall. Bannon and Kolfrage, etal. After first arresting them.
NY is a communist country. Moscow on the Hudson.
Oh come on, you couldn't be more wrong.
Planned Parenthood was founded to take innocent lives, the NRA was formed to help save innocent lives.
The NRA defeated itself, through mismanagement. The reorganization will enable it to come out stronger and hopefully with better leadership.
GOA is a better organization anyway. The NRA has been shaky on various topics. GOA has always been uncompromising. GOA has also had more legal successes in restoring the second amendment.
Bravo. to your reply!!
Unreal to even see that said, on this forum.
My only thought, is that Texas seems to be headed toward
teetering in five to ten years also.
So I just see it as another sign of the times.
No offense intended to Texans. Your state has done a lot
better than mine.
