This is part a restructuring.

Do you know what real restructuring means?

It means getting rid of high-pay CEOs who aren't true believers in the cause and hiring someone with heart and soul who is so committed he's willing to work for a basic stipend.

I have never believed the highest paid were the best and the brightest. They're there because they know of the play the CEO shuffle.

Stop putting money chasers in charge.

Higher someone with passion who believes in the cause and not someone looking for perks and payouts.

Rename it to NRB until that gets canceled, then NRC etc.
I think it might be a good idea to relocate before Biden (or whoever controls his strings) gets their hands on the membership list.

Sorry, but wrong. A company or organization can’t evade state liability by switching legal domicile.

‘Bout time they stopped trying to feed the alligators up there. Trump suggested this to them and it’s a good thing they listened. Texas is and will always remain a Gun State, A Free State.

So what’s your point?

After being granted a charter by the state of New York on November 17, 1871, the NRA was founded. Since then, the NRA has operated as a New York-registered 501(c)(4) not-for-profit, charitable corporation. Under state law not-for-profit, charitable corporations are required to register and file annual financial reports with the Charities Bureau in the Office of the Attorney General (OAG).

but they can, by filing bankruptcy and starting over.

A company or non-profit does just get to declare bankruptcy and walk away from liabilities. A trustee will be appointed by court to recover assets and to supervise management. If fraud was perpetrated a court will remove management altogether. Corporate bankruptcy is not a blank check.

Why not just move to WV and move the headquarters here also?

If it weren’t for the NRA of the past 50 years, you wouldn’t own your gun today.
Nobody asked you to join.
Keep riding for free.

That was my first thought. If the NRA wants to survive it has to move to a friendly climate. And that would be Texas among other red states.

I do not see this as a downside.

Sorry — I was implying that NoVA, the liberal hole of Virginia, is essentially the same as NY these days.

Yes, I wasn't aware of the fact that the NRA was incorporated in New York. Thank you for sharing that. Maybe you could post a few pictures from that era.

My personal favorite fact about the NRA is that they helped Mark Warner get over the hump to become Governor of Virginia and later he became one of the U.S Senators from Virginia

Do you recall the 2010 Tea Party wave in which the NRA started endorsing Anti-2A Democrats over Pro 2A Republicans?

I do.

The NRA is being investigated by the New York State AG. The NRA tried once already to move their incorporation out of the state of New York, but a judge refused because it was seen as a ploy to avoid being investigated by the NY AG.

I doubt that declaring bankruptcy will change the judge's mind about moving their charter out of the state.

“Are they going to be moving the Museum out of VA ?”

It will be moved, yes. If not by the NRA, then the cancel culture crowd will move it to the landfill after it’s destroyed.
