So far, the rollout of the COVID vaccine has been an embarrassing mess. There are different rules at different distribution locations, and sometimes they seem to change randomly. And to complicate matters, we're learning about unused, leftover doses. So who gets them? Or do they get thrown out?

Cardinal rule - no waste
I’m waiting to hear stories about people getting charged for a vaccine dose that they never took.
Leftovers are thrown out. Temperature/time sensitive application and some governors get upset if people “jump the line” so they go unused when patients miss their appointments
I propse giving the left over doses to politicians multiple times.
Working great here in Florida.
They are inoculating the most vulnerable first. At Capital Health, they are going by age, oldest first.
Always love articles that ask more questions than answers they provide.
Trump’s job was to get the Vaccines to the states. From
there the local people took control and ran the disbursement.
This is one more thing that will be dumped on Trump. Why he
should have been out there administering every vaccine shot.

No recipient is getting charged for the vaccine. Am I wrong?
It only addresses the symptoms, and does nothing to prevent you from spreading the virus.
Did I mention there are side effects from the vaccine?
I think you are wrong. There is a per dose cost. Insurance might cover it, but again, someone is paying for it.

To be accurate, what was said was that the vaccine’s effectiveness in stopping the spread wasn’t tested therefore it’s effectiveness in stopping the spread was unknown.
To be accurate if it only treats the symptoms and doesn’t stop you from CATCHING the virus, then it can not possibly stop you from spreading the virus.
.... Trump really messed this thing up .... Don’t Worry though ... Biden will fix it.
Hmmm. I wondered about the freezing and thawing, so now we know. Just wait until they give you the shot that's been hanging out in the back shelf for a couple weeks.
In our 3 county, Northern California, area, one hospital had a lot of vaccine intended for health care people that wasn’t needed.
Somehow they had a to call list of the next priority class.
One relative runs a small day car center, and she was called and one relative has a rare muscular diagnosis and she was called.
They both got their vaccinations yesterday and are doing fine today.

“People receiving vaccine ahead of others in higher priority groups... Reports that people who fall outside of priority groups just showed up and were vaccinated are true, APH confirmed. “We had people that were in the line, that had stayed in the line. So out of a common courtesy, we decided to go ahead and provide that vaccine to them,”

Again, you’re misconstruing what was said. People who took the vaccine were not continually tested to see if they had the virus. They were only tested if they developed symptoms. Therefore, all that was known was whether it prevented people from showing symptoms. People could have been asymptomatic after the vaccine.
Hope they didn’t show up in hour 7 of being thawed.
This incompetence falls squarely on state and local governments.
They had at least 3 months to develop a plan for distribution, but obviously no workable plan was developed.
Just another program that government has not been able to run effectively and efficiently. They should have given it to a non-government-related private contractor. Capitalism works.
